I have to love his enthusiasm and his facial expressions some things in life you can fake but his emotions are not one of them when he bites into something and he gives him that happy place he shows you he lets you know that and if it doesn’t he lets you know that too, and that’s why I trust his channelalthough I’ve been in New York longer than he’s been alive I have to say I love it when new people come to New York and find these gems and give an honest review. Sometimes they fall off with UA. You always know where you stand.

Grew up eating soul food..thanks Mom, and I'm amazed at the markup..I do recall when it was economical to eat in Harlem, but now, the prices for a meal are outrageous..25 dollars chicken and waffles?...😮..That only happens after gentrification....Im waiting for Popeyes to finally get a clue with that combo, instead of those terrible biscuits they serve...

They re straight up robbing people. You can get a whole 15 PC at a store in my hood for 20 bucks including sides and I bet its better than this

I am Asian, and I love soul food. Sometimes I would go into a Soul Food restaurant and I would be the only Asian/Non-Black customer, and I would get the stare but when I start spouting out the stuff I want, everybody eases down.

I love fried chicken and have been to Sylvia's many times. In my opinion, it's more of a tourist place. Lots of hype but kind of meh food. Amy Ruth's is not blowing my socks off but I am going to try it next time I'm in NYC. Love your videos!

I loved Amy Ruth's fried chicken and collard greens too. The MacNChee is Southern style with a harder cheese as opposed to a smooth gruyere. Soul Food is inherently with cheaper ingredients and that is the authenticity factor. I've been to NYC a couple times and ate at maybe 40 different places and I think you have hit almost all of the spots. Love your videos. Keep them coming.

I grew up in Harlem and my mom is from the south. Southern food was the norm for dinner. Sylvia earned it reputation when it first opened. Now it is a tourist trap. Charles pan fried chicken, not fancy but the real deal

And when you said okay guys you don't want it to get cold when you stuck your fork in the mac and cheese that's when you should have eaten it you cannot let cheese sit for long it does Clump together you were talking like I said in my previous comment I had to actually go back to make sure yeah you messed up on that you have to eat cheese when it's melted any product first don't let that sit last you can maybe even do it a second item on the list when you're showing off food and getting ready to eat but never ever let cheese that's hot sit that baked mac and cheese definitely is the bomb when it is hot and gooey not all clumped together😂
