Your knowledge of the workings of that kicker box is pretty doggone great! I could never do any of that. As I've said before, my brain is not wired for jobs like that. I reckon I would be called a tinkerer, if that is even a word lol. But I always enjoy watching and marveling at your knowledge and workmanship when you tear down the inner workings of y'alls bikes. Keep up the good work! Great video! Stay warm and safe up in your beautiful B.C.! ✌

0:07 It is for the sake of such moments that I watch your videos ❤. Honestly, I am a fierce spender of various cleaning products. I can spend one full cylinder of "Carburetor Cleaner" on just one carburetor, well, or a maximum of two. Recently, after a downpour, I cleaned the valve covers with a special tool for quickly starting the engine and the whole balloon went to clean only two covers😂😂.

From here that first cover looked like a Taiwan teddy type cover. The second one looked like a oem cover. You got a good one there. Original parts are gettimg harder to come by amd the aftermarket stuff just don't measure up

I've been enjoying your mechanical videos a whole lot. As a 71 year old rider, I've never owned or ridden a Harley. I'm kind of thinking I need to own one at least once. Living 70 miles from Milwaukee, there's just been some sort of mental block or different drummer attitude when it comes to Harley's for me in the past. It's always nice to see a woman that's comfortable around tools. My wife was a very good custom spray painter.

@@RedRiderCanadaBC Your more than welcome and I'm sure your father and family are very proud of you. Bet you grew up running around in Dad's shop having fun learning. I'm just glad I come across your channel and it was a short, I just love to see the younger adults keeping the dream alive. It's like that Ted Nugent don't know if you're familiar with him but I'm sure you're Dad and elders are you might know if Dad had the tunes cranking in the shop. He's and guitar 🎸 player who I have enjoyed in my youth, big into hunting and located in Jackson, Michigan. He loves to bow hunt and get the inner city kids out to his 500 acre property and has guest come from each country and to bring a big game animal that they hurt and bring to his ranch. The program is to get the young people who are going down the wrong path and educate them about how much fun it is to hurt. They are broken up into groups and the people who come from the other countries are the leader of a group of I believe 6 each. They eat what they catch and have a big party with eating something brought in from the other countries. Ted Nugent has never drank alcohol or done drugs, hard to believe being a Rock star during the 60 to the present time. He wants to keep the hunting alive for it's really become a lost art too. I'm not sure if he still does that program but when I lived in Michigan I heard about it on the classic rock and roll station and his KZbin channel etc. Just like pocket watches that is really something, talk about gears and the tiny parts and special tools that were homemade too. I'm rambling and I don't mean to, just lonely and don't have family. So I enjoy chatting with the young people who got their stuff together like you. I'm not good with the digital world stuff, but I will look at your channel and see if you have a email address listed and I would love to share my stories with you too if you would like. Keep your head up and Ride Hard Die Free USA 🇺🇸👍🏻✌🏻🤙🏻👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻

I hate working with aftermarket parts. I’m a marine mechanic by trade, and were relegated to utilizing aftermarket crap on some things as some original parts suffer from the dreaded three letters “NLA” (no longer available). It’s good to keep good useable parts around in case you run across those dreaded three letters. I could tell you stories about aftermarket stuff failing after not much use. So I definitely feel for you when you ran across the kicker spring that hung up on itself. As always, great video Angel!

Great job Miss Angel, When folks see "TV" motorcycle mechanics they only see them with whole parts and never the true guts of a motorcycle. I like and appreciate your Dad's and your own jigs and ways around "darley" only tools. I've never been brand specific nor do I believe any manufacturer is the end all to any products. Now if you and your Dad were to spec out a bike for my kind of riding- long distance touring, I'd be in line to buy. What thickness aluminum and steel plate are used in your jigs Please? Well, YES with that knowledge I will be making my own Thank You very much. I have a drawer full of jigs for my 47 Indian and 65 Panhead but there is always room for improvements. Thank You for sharing and Thank You to your Dad for passing on his gained knowledge. You are both in my prayers Hoka Hey
@RedRiderCanadaBC
@RedRiderCanadaBC Жыл бұрын
Why thank you Van 🙂 I believe the plate we have in our vice is cut from 1/8 inch aluminum plate. We also use some thin copper jaws for when we need to heat and bend steel. And if I hear of any deals for a good touring bike then I will definitely let you know!
