Harley And Freelee DID NOT Get Lean on RawTill4

"Follow the advice of the people with the results you desire" are very wise words! However I think it is important to understand that Harley (durianrider) and Freelee did not become lean and fit on the RawTill4 die; they achieved their physique on a RAW vegan diet and maintained this physique on RT4. For people that are wanting to maintain their current weight, RawTill4 is a really great HCLF option. However for optimized fat loss, convenience, and affordability, try out FruitAfter4 and get closer results to raw veganism.

Durianrider even says one of the reasons they do raw til 4 is that they'd get too lean eating all fruit, so your're probably right. :)

Smile_Brighter None of this adds up...Durianrider's statements or hers. Is Durianrider now revealing that he was never fully raw by making that statement??? He was supposedly raw for quite a while. It doesn't matter to me if he was ever fully raw except that he was so dogmatic about it at the time.

HealthyistheNewSexy think he was fully raw but eating loads to keep up with his exercise and would have to limit the exercise because of getting too lean. Or so he says, sounds like another exaggerated harley-ism.

+Smile_Brighter I'm going to respond to a 9 month comment because this shit bugs me. @@PaleoPlate But now you're not vegan.😞 No shade intended, it only makes me sad. RT4 failed terribly for me. But there are so many other ways to be vegan, and I wish Freelee would focus on the great variety of possibilities. I think the worst thing was "It worked for me so it'll work for everyone." That's not true of anything in human health. We're all individuals. There can't ever be one thing that works for everyone. 🤷🏾‍♀️

I haven't been RT4, but have been HCLF for a year now and I keep banging myself over the head for not being able to do RT4 (just doesn't satisfy me to eat only fruit throughout the day). I have lost 30 kg over the past year, but I'm currently weighing 87kg and my weight loss has gone stagnant. I felt like if ONLY I could be more disciplined and do RT4 or even RAW I'd lose wait, but it just doesn't work for me and is giving me alot of mental pain. Thank you for making this video, I've been afraid of asking for help in the RT4 community, afraid of being told to just do RT4 like that when I'm obviously struggling to. I'll try fruit after 4, and stay tuned on your channel. Thank you for being brave enough to stand up, and stand out!

But we always learn new things and find new ways to improve . If someone happens to be stuck on raw till 4 maybe your idea is the key to their success regarding weight loss. We have to share our knowledge and experience so that everyone finds his way.

That's the same conclusion I came to as well after 1 1/2 years of trying RT4. It's great for maintaining weight but, for me, not for weight loss. That's why most people have had to tweak the diet a bit in order to lose the extra pounds. Thank you for sharing this info. :)

hi savy i absolutely love your videos! i just want to ask...the reason to eat fruit at night is so that your body can burn fat at night because there's no glucose interrupting fat burning. but is it also the same if i eat fruit for breakfast? like...i have fasted the whole night and then eating fruit (so would i still be burning fat?). or does it only work at night? thanks x

Before Freelee was in the picture at all, Durianrider, then went by Harley was repeatedly and I mean daily on the discussion board hosted by Dr. DOUG Graham on VegSource.Com Harley was 80/10/10 Raw and stayed like that for years. He was getting to thin on all Raw and has said if he ever Was not exercising He would return to Being Raw I agree with you completely Rawtill4 is a vehicle that is deluding and dissapointing a lot of females in particular. Oh well to each his own

This is a great point you made Earthling. Harley put out a video once where he admits adding cooked food, rice, potatoes, etc, to his diet because he and freelee were losing to much weight on a raw diet. Do you remember when they began promoting, "the back up plan" well the thing is that they relied to much on the back up plan. Anastasiaraw said it best, "If you're using your back up plan every day then its not a back up plan." You are 100% correct--they did not get lean on the RT4 program. Especially Freelee. When Freelee and Harley turned on Doug Graham, because of the WFF fiasco, that's when they began to promote RT4 to distance themselves from the 80 10 10 "raw diet". So yes, Freelee and Harley got lean and fit on the 80 10 10 raw diet. And let not even get into Freelee biking across Australia under carbed to lose her weight.

kiddie300101 Hi there, thanks! Is fat loss a goal of yours? If so, yoga at night will not facilitate this, but is still a very healthy practice for flexibility, core strength, mood etc. If fat loss is a goal, then is it possible to take a walk or bike ride in the morning? Possibly on the way to school/work, and then eat breakfast when you're there? Give me a few more life details and I'm sure we can work something out :)

Really interested in this as i tried fully raw and i was losing weight but i felt really anxious and my skin was bad. On the other hand i feel like i stay the same on starch solution.

I remember this trend in dieting was made popular by Susan Powter over 2 decades ago. People got hooked on refined carbs (i.e plain bagels etc) and companies started to take fat out but load products with sugar (Snackwells). It wasn't done right but only because people didn't think or know about how bad refined carbs and sugars were, and thought they were safe because the fat was taken out and that they could eat much more food than fat containing food. I believe in a balance of protein, fat and whole food carbs and eating proper portions with limited snacking for myself.

Love this approach, and I'm already a HCLF vegan and definitely will try this! I have a question about exercise, what if you enjoy high intensity workouts and long runs/bike rides and can only make time for this after work (around 5-6) right now? If i do moderate exercise in the morning (ie. biking to work) when would be a good time for higher intensity exercise? Before dinner? After dinner? Also ill be going back to school in the fall and could exercise doing spare in the afternoon, would this be a better time? Thanks
@PaleoPlate
@PaleoPlate 9 жыл бұрын
Miranda Finch Hi there! Exercise at any time of day with whatever intensity feels manageable is healthy. It will make you more fit. The difference between this and working out in the morning before food is that you will not be burning exclusively fat in the afternoon or evening. If fat loss is not a goal of yours, then it does not matter what time you work out, you still will benefit in other ways from the exercise. Moderate exercise in the morning (biking to work like you said) will be the time you can burn fat. For the high intensity (no fat burning) sessions, do them whenever you like! :) Hope that helps!

Freeley and Durian jump on their bikes and ride all day. They need all those extra carbohydrates to mentain their energy each day. Raw till 4 will make you Gain weight if you Don't excercise to burn off the calaries each day. If you are an athletetic person then this is the diet for you. If you not, then try the Microvour diet. Lanie Hi Janie, nice to meet you :) You can eat starches for dinner I just encourage you eat them throughout the day when they are of most benefit to energy levels. And to eat greens, vegetables, plant fats, and fruit in the evening for a lighter digestive load and fuller vitamin/mineral absorption (plant fats and greens are a killer combo in the evening). I promote eating earth foods (whole plant foods) in whatever combination works best for you, but I do suggest a lighter starch meal or no starches in the evening as there are going to be many benefits to doing this.

Not really sure about the point of this video. Yes, technically they didn't get lean on RT4 because they were both on the trendy raw bandwagon without knowing any better at the time (I'm so glad they jumped off). Seeing as they are just as lean on RT4, do you really think they couldn't have achieved the same results? I sense a little spitefulness in doing this video.
@PaleoPlate
@PaleoPlate 9 жыл бұрын
Hi Carber Hi there, my intent was to point out that DR&FL achieved their lean physique on a raw vegan diet, and so they did not BECOME lean on RawTill4, therefore it is inaccurate to say that their physique can be obtained on RawTill4 with any doubt. What I did note is also what you said "they are just as lean on RT4" meaning that RawTill4 did not cause fat gain for them. And it won't for anyone else either if implemented correctly (weight gain experienced by most is water retention, food weight, glycogen, etc). We know this because the mechanisms that are favoured over fat storage from carbs makes fat gain very difficult. However, why do so many people not lose weight on RawTill4? This is the question that drove me to research and realize that strategic carbohydrate timing and exercise make important differences in the physique that can be obtained on a HCLF vegan diet. Thanks for your comment, I really appreciate you challenging my points. I carry no spitefulness, it is something I am very careful to be conscious of in my thinking and conduct.
@HiCarber
@HiCarber 9 жыл бұрын
Earthling Nutrition My opinion why some can't lose weight is they haven't done it long enough. When DR & FL talk about metabolic damage, after looking into a lot of the people who gained and couldn't lose weight, they all came from calorie-restriction and eating disorders. What I think metabolic damage is is basically low thyroid which a person will get if they calorie-restrict long enough and even a doctor told me low thyroid can take over a year to correct, so with all the evidence I've seen so far, I have to go with DR & FL's thoughts that people will gain if they have Mdamage and could take a year or more to heal from it before the weight starts coming off. Most of the people who quit their advice did so less than a year in. Now I would like to see just as anyone if they could have achieved the same results on RT4, but I don't think we can convince them to eat how they used to eat and gain the weight and poor health back haha! Sorry if I sounded hostile in my first post. I support everyone's right to challenge everyone else.
@PaleoPlate
@PaleoPlate 9 жыл бұрын
Hi Carber Excellent thoughts mate! I think thyroid health can definitely influence weight issues, but not everyone has a damaged thyroid, there is something else at play here I think! This is what I'm advocating though, not just calling every complication "metabolic damage" but actually looking into it and finding specific mistakes, areas of inadequacies, etc. so we can produce helpful solutions! :) I appreciate your thoughts, please keep them coming!

Earthling Nutrition I think it's all thyroid, personally. Of interest, go look at all the people who gained or can't lose and ask what their thyroid levels are. I'd be surprised if any had levels in optimum range. There is some controversy with the "normal" thyroid range, so that's why I say "optimal range" which, from what I've researched, seems to be between 1-2.

what I do not understand is that raw till 4, starchsolution do not work exactly the same on everybody. ( I did more of bread solution with starches and other goodness). I was already owerweight (169cm, 74kg) and in 8 months I gained 6kg. I am upset that HCLF did not produce weightloss. I walk bloated all the time. It is annoying as I do not fit my clothes anymore. I hope that Microvorism will help me reduce my weight.

+Joanna Kowalska maybe you should go with whole food starches like brown rice and potatoes versus using bread, bread is a highly processed food and digest very quickly, i have been hclf starch solution for 2 months and have already lost 25 pounds.

Bellaud Did u read well what I wrote? I did not follow rawtill4. I did HCLF. I live in cold scotland. I do not hv resources to buy so much fruit, nor we hv good quality produce here. Also there is a social angle regarding rawtill4. I hv already shortage of good friends. Do not want to separate myself even more. Starch solution is the best for my circumstances.

Fruits and veggies are very low in calories. You can eat like 5 cups of strawberries and that would only be about 250 calories yet it's so filling! Also, fruits and veggies digest super fast. They go in and out quick. Eat more calorie dense fruits. Banana, mangoes, dates. Also, incorporate some cooked starches if you have to

If you follow the same diet as someone else, you will NOT necessarily get the same results, unless you have similar genes. If I ate loads of raw fruit, I would get so much diarrhea (fructose malabsorption) that I would probably die of dehydration. NOT everyone can tolerate the same diet. Of course, white sugar and processed food is bad for everyone, but individual tolerance varies. It's similar to the way some people get allergies to certain foods/animals and others don't. One person could get a bee sting and barely notice, and another could go into anaphylactic shock and die without emergency medical treatment.

I love this video so so much. You say that Freelee and DR have no ill intentions, it's just lack of knowledge. (?) Well, so THEY do not KNOW themselves anymore how these things went? You think they just FORGOT that they got so healthy and slim and fit on YEARS of a 100% Fruit-diet (which they agressively promoted at that time?) and NOT by overeating on cooked carbs? Since you say that these video appeals to logical thinkers I would AT BEST be able to say that Freelee and DR have lost their ability to think logically. Let's say they do not want to harm people and they do want to save animals. O.K. But they also want to have a following that is huge, ensuring huge income. And people love to be told that they can actully MASSIVELY OVEREAT and have those incedible physiques they are showing. IDK but I still see something evil in all this. Why not eat reasonable amount of plant-foods, even run a small calory- deficit on a low-fat-plant-based diet? You see how this sounds boring and not sexy and sensational at all? It's all about the clicks and I really don't know what to prefer: That they really believe their BS on massively stuffing yourself AND losing weight and healing (there really is no healing in overeating) or that they create this stuff and make it up to be a sensationalistic thing so that the whole world talks about it, which creates millions of clicks and so that (as happening now) youtube sponsors them to come and live in L.A. IDK.....many people in the meantime seem to be harmed by the calorie-cramming-thing......getting more and more desperate every day and losing time on their personal way to health and happiness by believing in advice that just does not work the way it is being promoted.

Thx fpr your videos. I think you shoud differentiate fat in the blood and depot fat: The heart-rate-range is interesting when you want to be most efficient in burning fat in blood - but the more sport you do the more fat you loose...in the blood. If you haven´t eat anything (no fat, carbs and proteins in the blood) the heart-rate-range doesn´t matter...you will burn depot fat. :-)
@PaleoPlate

Caine1976 Yes, but high intensity will burn glycogen rather than fat, and glycogen is plentiful on a HCLF diet. So I think heart rate is something to be aware of :)

Not trying to discredit your message as there is definitely some truth in it here but to be fair, if you look at some of Freelee's videos from 2 years ago and now, you will see that she has still transformed quite a bit on rt4 and continues to do so. Same goes for DR, his face is leaner than ever. But yeah, my cousin is as lean as he is eating a SAD diet and lots of it... Not everyone is the same.

Body ALWAYS burns carbs and fats. Even if u train fasted body will burn more fat while fasted and more carbs later on. You can’t target fat loss and hope u came to these conclusions as the years went by. People who eat mostly carbs always end up skinny cuz is hard to store carbs as fat. So raw til 4 , raw or whatever carb diet u choose u will always be skinny

***** Thank you so much for your passionate comment, it is so healthy and beneficial to express your opinions and speak out against things you believe are incorrect. "It is not lying, it is lack of knowledge I think, they have no ill intentions towards you and they have contributed more to this community than any other KZbinr", (me) so I mean a lack a knowledge of insulin presence following starch meals deterring fat oxidation during sleep, and more specific knowledge regarding fat oxidation during exercise (fasted exercise in around 65% VO2 max). They have not discussed these specifics in their videos, and so they do not have knowledge in this area specifically. I was not saying they didn't have any knowledge, goodness no! :) They're both very well informed and great teachers too! I think metabolic damage is a blanket term and we can look more closely into problems and figure out solutions rather than stay confused and sick. "Why so many people on the starch solution are losing weight" (you). What an excellent question! :) I intend to explain why individuals are successful on Starch Solution in an upcoming video; as there are a few reasons that I would like to explain in length. "The truth is that any HCLF diet will make you better and healthier" (you) Absolutely!! "Sadly people like you are shooting progress in the foot because you're all about you and not about the people who are getting help" (you) Actually, my motives are selfless and my passion is to help people in this community and outside achieve healthier lifestyles and bodies. Unfortunately, I get many comments and emails from individuals that are not getting these results and it has drove me to find solutions. To discuss these solutions, it is necessary to discuss RawTill4 and its creators to understand the improvements that can be made on their foundations. I understand your reaction, as many KZbinrs criticize and bash each other and it has become somewhat the norm. But I am very conscious of my thinking and language to ensure my videos are fair, informed, and helpful. Thanks for reading my reply, have a beautiful day! :)

Examples are good for learning, and what better examples are Harley and Freelee for representing the diet that they created. I did not speak meanly about them, and whatever views are generated by this video will help to open discussion about this topic. She just wants to give people other options if rt4 didn't work.

The truth is that many who claim they were RT4, were really not. A prime example is HCH. This chick is still tippy toe-ing towards RT4 with all the sillyassed challenges that she embarks on every few months. Wonder if low fat will help her lose a few pounds?? Wonder if cutting out salt and oil will help her lose a few pounds? Really? These ARE THE GUIDELINES for RT4. These are pivotal to success! But tecall her video whining about how she was doing it perfectly and she got fat. The question becomes are you ON PROGRAM or OFF PROGRAM??? RT4 definitely works, but few actually LIVE THE LIFESTYLE!!! They skirt the perimeter, cheat 50% of the time and then whine about their half assed/non existent results. No worries...fresh meat for the haters....
