These budget effects manufacturers have really decoded these units. This is a $30 pedal! I bought from Thomann so shipping was another $25 but I'm not losing any sleep over it. This is an awesome pedal. Several years back I had a Marshall 1987X Plexi that I slammed a DOD 250 into the front end with so it was all juicy EL34 power tube distortion. A "one trick pony" to be sure, but to this day I compare all of these "Marshall In a Box" pedals against that tone. I would be willing to bet that a blindfolded "Pepsi Challenge" would reveal that you would not be able to tell the difference. This little jewel is that good. Solid build. True bypass. Nice, dead quiet foot switch. Very tweakable. Get one before Harley Benton realizes what they have and doubles their price!

Thanks for the cool comment! I'm sure it feels very different to play and stay in front of a 1987x because of its raw power and volume, but yes, soundwise the Harley Benton does wonders and in a recording one would really struggle to tell the difference! I also made a video with the American Tone that simulates Fender amps and I just recorded a video about the AC Tone (Vox AC30 simulation) that should come out next week 😉 keep on rocking!

These are great for the low cost. I have a Peavey ValveKing for my main amp, but it got it used, and it's been modified (tubes/speaker/etc). The gain channel pretty much starts at low level AC/DC crunch, so I'm using the Joyo into the clean channel for edge of breakup sounds and going for the little bit driven plexi sound. Lots of tweaking to go, but It's fun and I like it.

Yes, it's hard to go wrong for the money and it really has some great sounds in it. Peavey makes some amazing amps! I've grew up playing a bandit 112 and more recently had a Classic 20MH that was brilliant

Thanks for the nice comment! I think it is just OK.... I would definitely add an Impulse Response (IR) loader with this pedal for a better cabinet simulation. Something like the Mooer Radar, the Nux Studio IR, or the Two Notes Cab M+. You can keep your pedals fully analog and have the digital IR cab sim. I am planning to do a video using these Harley Benton TrueTone pedals with a Nux Cerberus. The Cerberus has analog drive and distortion with digital modulation, delay, reverb, and an IR loader for cabinet simulations. It's a perfect complement for these amp simulation pedals if need to play gigs without an amp at a budget. I am from Brazil hahah but grazie mille!

For ZZ Top, Billy Gibbons famously played his Gibson Les Paul (Pearly Gates) into a 100W Marshall Super Lead Plexi, so I would definitely recommend the British Sound for this one. SRV played a bunch of different stuff, but you want something clean and sparkly with lots of headroom, so the American Sound with a Tube Screamer pedal in front of it would be your best bet. I haven't tried the California yet, so I cannot comment on that one

Olá Renaud, este é um excelente pedal pra tirar um som de ampli Marshall e com um preço acessível. Ele tem a simulação de auto-falante, que é uma vantagem pra usar o pedal direto na mesa de som, mas ao mesmo tempo, esta não pode ser desativada (ruim para usar o pedal junto com um ampli). Nessa faixa de preço, eu também fiz um vídeo do Harley Benton Plexicon, que é um excelente pedal e melhor pra usar com um ampli. Meu favorito é o Fulltone OCD, que embora não seja oficialmente um pedal inspirado em Marshall, tem sons excelentes e ótimo range de ganho (de boost transparente à distorção). Outras opções bem conhecidas são Suhr Riot, JHS Charlie Brown e Angry Charlie, Wampler Plexi Drive, Carl Martin Plexitone, e aí cada um destes tem clones mais baratos e variações. Espero ter ajudado um pouco, mas realmente existem vários Marshalls com sons diferentes e pedais específicos pra recriar o som de cada um deles.

I use the American sound. It's superb. No doubt the British is just as good. My " Marshall in a box' is the Boss ST2. Had a Fulltone Plimsoul but not as good.

The American Sound is also amazing! I also use it often for clean Fender tones. There are many good Marshall sounding pedals actually. This one is just a steal for its price

Obrigado Hudson! Ele funciona sim, mas eu recomendo usar um impulse-response (IR) loader depois deste pedal. Recomendo por exemplo o Mooer Radar ou o Torpedo Cab M para simular auto-falantes e deixar o som mais autentico e redondo. A comparação que fiz aos 3:17 mostra a diferença de usar o pedal direto na interface de áudio com e sem a simulação de falantes. Usar o pedal direto na mesa de som deve soar similar ao direto na interface... É um som utilizável, mas com a simulação de falantes é muito melhor.

Gracias por el comentario. Para la intro yo tengo el British Sound -> Delay -> Interface de Audio -> DAW con Two Notes Wall of Sound Plug-in para la simulación del gabinete de altavoz. En 5:56 tengo el Ibanez Tube Screamer Mini -> British Sound -> Delay -> Looper -> Retorno de efectos en el amplificador -> gabinete de altavoz -> micrófono -> Interface de Audio -> DAW sin ningún pós-processamiento Espero que tenga ayudado
