I have to say this guitar is the best inexpensive, instead of cheap, guitar there is. It was my 2nd HB. Got it in ruby red! I put some DiMarzio's after a few days (just cuz I had them lying around) and changed the tone knob to have a coil split switch. Boom! Nothing beats that guitar - what you get for the price makes no sense.... 2 weeks ago I decided to give it to a friend. He is super happy with it :)

I was really surprised when I found it. I go for looks VS perks first, then filter out my price range and then I go looking for sound examples or reviews. And really, this one JUMPED at me on the Thomann site before I even filtered! I couldn't believe the either price but you totally convinced me! I have an account there, but I'll sure use your link for my purchase! Thanks a lot for that thorough review!

I keep seeing people questioning the quality of cheaper things but almost no one ever mentions specific problems with licensed Floyd Roses. If a problem is not described it usually exists in the fantasy of those who suspect it. I know the Floyd people have said they "weren't satisfied with the quality of the licensed products", which is what anyone with something to sell would say: "buy mine, it's better". The one thing I heard was wear issues on the swinging edge, making the return to pitch inaccurate. This happens with time and use if the metal is not hard enough and I wonder if the edge can be sharpened anew. I'm sure it can.
@ToroKchannel4 жыл бұрын
Well yes the edge could be sharpened again, I agree with you. If this happens to me, I'll see what I can do myself before sending it back to Thomann cos' I'm sure they would just replace it with a brave new one.

We have ordered the S-620 some days ago...in order to use this for some trials and modifications..but from your video seems that we will not need too many modifications...the Floyd seems the same mounted on the fusion II that is perfect (is really a great guitar)...In my opinion also this S-620 with 2 quality pickups can be really a great guitar 😉👍
@ToroKchannel3 жыл бұрын
It's an amazing guitar for the price. I don't think the floyd rose on this one is the same as on the fusion II. If I remeber well, the fusion II comes with a FR series 1000. This S-620 comes with a FR special rebranded by Harley Benton.

I bought it, I started playing solos and many hours a day in two months there was nothing left, everything was broken, it was wood for the fireplace. the screws broke, the keyboard faded, the floyd Rose completely fake, I hung it, I saw it and I laughed, I went to the trash can outside the house, I opened it, I threw it inside and the story is over...

Hey nice playing. How is it with the tune stability after using the tremolo and dive bombs? 🤔 cz im about to take one and change the adapters with seymour duncan active.
@ToroKchannel7 ай бұрын
Thanks ! I have made a review video + a 3 years after video showing the stability of this FR. It will accept tremolo effects easily, but if you go mad with dive bombs, at some point, it will run out of tune. If you're into some Satriani / Kerry King mood, you will have to change the FR. I think it will sound very good with some Seymour Duncan Blackout, but any guitar would sound good with those pickups :)

Hi I am a beginner looking to buy my first electric (I am comfortable with an Acoustic guitar). I would mainly play rock and metal (RHCP, A7X, Metallica, Buckethead, etc.) I was initially considering the Ibanez GRGA120 but have come across this guitar. I will rarely use the tremolo but I would like to have 24 frets. Can anyone tell me which one I should go for? I would like the guitar to be reliable with good pickups and tuning it should not be too problematic. Thank you!
@ToroKchannel3 жыл бұрын
This one is good but a floating bridge for a first electric is not something I would advise buying. It makes everything a bit more complicated when it comes to set the guitar in tune and if you wanna go for drop tuning - and I guess you will - you will spend 15 minutes on it. I think you should take a look at Schecter Omen / Omen Extreme. Excellent guitars, very good pickups, 24 frets, and can easily be found on the used market.

Hey dude! Great review! I’ve been jamming Metallica and Slayer for two years now and was wondering whether you’d say the tuning stability is good. I need an upgrade from my Squier Fender and the tuning on that sucks ass. BTW, sorry fire my English, I’m Australian. 😉 😂
@ToroKchannel3 жыл бұрын
Thanks man ! Well this axe stays in tune as long as you don't make an extreme use of the FR. If you try and play King's leads, I'm afraid it won't stay in tune perfectly well. Maybe you should take a look at the Fusion Pro series, they come with a FR series 1000 that will accept crazy thrash leads. \m/

Ok changing Strings is more complicated, but you not have to tune it so often like a normal Guitar and you have more possibilities in Sound Dynamic.

Hello , many thanks for your big review .. Im undecided whether to buy this guitar or Ibanez GRX70 that's is very similar .. considering that difference in price is about 40 euros and will become less because Thoman takes 20 euros to ship to Italy .. so for 20 euros difference could be better buy a better known Ibanez or you will also prefer the Herley Benton ?
@ToroKchannel4 жыл бұрын
Hi Francesco, happy that you appreciate my review ;) It's not easy for me to compare this Harley Benton with the Ibanez GRX70 you mention cos' I have never played the Ibanez. But there are 2 things I can tell you and hopefully it's gonna help you. 1 : Harley Bentons are made by Thomann so their prices are free from distributor mergin. It means that a 138€ from Harley Benton could be compared with a 276€ from another brand. 2 : I have a LTD MH-100 at home, I've bought it for 299€ some two years ago, and int termes of quality and playability, this Harley Benton is as good as the LTD. The pickups on the Harley Benton are much better than on the LTD. Now, if you look for a very thin neck, keep in mind that on the Harley Benton the neck is 22.5 mm at 12th fret. I guess the neck on the Ibanez will be thinner. Hope this will help you :)

Bonjour, (je me permet de vous écrire en francais, ayant apercu que vous l'étiez) je souhaiterai acheter cette guitare mais un point me fait hésiter, est ce que la tenue d'accord apres utilisation du floyd reste t elle bonne ?
@ToroKchannel3 жыл бұрын

Hi, what is the thickness of the neck and whats the difference between that and fretboard radius?
@ToroKchannel3 жыл бұрын
Hi Guilherme. The neck is a bit thick, 23mm on the nut 25 at the 1éth fret but it plays nice ans smooth. The radius describes how flat or rounded the fretboard is. On this one I think the radius is a classic 350mm. You'll find a complete explanation about the radius here : www.fender.com/articles/tech-talk/what-is-fingerboard-radius

Well Patrick I have guitars with FR special, guitars with FR 1000 and in terms of playability, I can't tell the difference either ! The metal that's used for making FR special is supposed to be less good than on FR 1000, so as years go by, the FR special might have issues.
