I just played a U bass for the first time. It was a bit surprising. I didn't know what to expect, but it was extremely fun. I think that it is useful as a tool, but not as a substitute for real bass. I like the fact that it is light. Bass is too heavy for me. Any bass player should have this at home.

Thanks for the review. I got the same and really like it. I noticed that the marks on the fretboard are wrong though. There is a dot on the tenth fret instead of the ninth. For solid bass players probably no issue but for me learning the freatboard at the moment a bit irritating. Bought the ukebass to practice on the couch or in bed where the regular bass doesnt fit.

Thanks for this. I've been researching u-basses and have not run across Harley Benton until finding this video. Can you say anymore about the quality of this particular u-bass? Is is solid, something that will last for awhile?

Hello there - I am total total beginner, never owned a stringed instrument before, and just bought the Harley Benton Ubass. I've put in the two batteries supplied OK, plugged the uke into a bass amp - and nothing happens. The amp is working OK - checked it with a friend's guitar. The volume dials are all at 12 o'clock. Can't see anything to switch on..? What am I missing? Or have I had very bad luck and ... it's faulty?
