Winter time is the best time to get those needed fixes done on the fair weather fun toys. I'll be rebuilding the carb on my old 81 FHL this winter. Good looking scooter you have there bro.

@@BAGOTCORNER She is a good ole kick start Shovelhead. Highly modified and adapted as time goes by. Drag pipes, yea, my neighbors love that... Parts keep getting harder to find for the ole girl. She has over 300k miles on her frame. The engine gets repaired, freshened up or overhauled as needed. The carb is an S&S Super E that am having to rebuild. 180k miles on the carb since it was put on. It's time. It's worn slap out. The gas won't stay on the inside anymore. Kinda the same problem you have with the leaky hoses. SMH(smack my head)lol

Tim Allen man you’ve been doing some riding ! Yep those S and S carbs are a nice add. I hate to say it but if I yanked the injection off I’d likely put round slide mikunis on since I have many years experience on them on race engines. But ,,,they are all pretty darn good!

@@BAGOTCORNER My Mikuni finally has been retired. Racing did it in and can't un-modify it for the street. Love the Mikuni performance but S&S is just easier to roadside fix and way more common in motorcycle shops to get seal kits and stuff. My 2007 Ultra Classis will get a Mikuni mod with proper cams when the injection system dies.
