Harley Davidson Dyna Convertible FXDS // Installing Hard Bags!

First time finding your channel. Nice Bike (I have a 1998 Dyna Convertible, so cheers). How do you like those bags? I have the originals with the bike...I would tell you that if you don't like those you have on after awhile to comb Ebay. They always have OEM sets of Convertible bags that pop up from time to time.

How much can you fit in the bags? would a 12 pack fit?

Hey Matt, you can fit a decent amount! The bags are roughly 15"x11"x7.5" you could fit a 12 pack without the box!

Have enough shock clearance with them? Any issues?

Hey Dwight! If I could go back I would’ve raised it by 1/2” because there is a slight rubbing, especially when I two-up. However, I’m sure if you put that into perspective you won’t have the same problem!

Your gonna get rid of those bags pretty quick. The quality on them is so shitty that the ones I had I just had a pretty good size bump in the road and the lid literally broke off and was hanging by the wire. I don’t think you’re going to get extra keys made for them to the locks are so shitty that you can take the factory key go get a new one cut and it still won’t fit.

HI! I actually no longer have the bike. For the period that I had them, they were not the worst thing, keeping in mine the cost. However, on the newer Dyna's that I have owned, I ran the Thrashin bags and have no complaints.
