Stopping giving him shit for not wearing gear. Riding a bike comes with risks that we all know about and accept. You can say "well wear gear and minimize those risks" But using that logic a smart person wouldn't ride a bike at all. We all are kind of stupid for riding when a car is much safer, don't act like he's stupid because he is willing to accept a little more risk than you are. To each their own.

Maximus Meridius if you would read all the way through the comments you would see that he acknowledges that it is risky to ride with shorts and sandals on but he also says that it was very hot that day and that he had been riding and walking everywhere for 43 years so I believe he has the experience with bikes to ride a short way in minimal traffic. Yes anything can happen but you can see in the video he's really good at riding and the video was supposed to be about the bike not what he was wearing. It's a sick bike too I hope to have on one day.

If the roads are that curved, you'll need a higher bike than a Fat Boy. If you lean too far over, you'll land lay on the floorboards so hard, your front tire will lose traction and DOWN you go... flip flops, skin, and a long, wet, red smear. If image is that important to you, imagine how THAT will look. Get a bike more suited to tight curves and gear up!

THe folding boards are forgiving, to a point. If you never dumped it, I'd credit that to your excellent judgement and skill in riding. Many don't know where the envelope is and dump a nice bike onto the highway, which is tragic. Most of the used Harleys my brother and I looked at while Harley shopping had extensive floorboard and/or exhaust pipe dents/scrapes. Many people just don't know the lean angle limits on their bikes.
