I put just under 60k miles on a set of Progressives on a flstsci. Road the same from the first day to the last day I owned that bike. Awesome soft tail shocks.

I have a 2013 HARLEY SOFTAIL SLIM, and I put SHOTGUN SHOCKS on it... My question is, I have my bushings or shock absorbers on the opposite way than you explained... I have the long end coming in from the front with the bolt in... Is this ok? Thank you

I don’t think that is the way it is designed, however, if you have been riding and it feels ok then there shouldn’t be a problem

Anyone want to say what size any of these bolts are?

Do you happen to know what the torque values are for the mounting bolts?

Wow talk about making something more difficult than it needs to be. There is absolutely no reason to remove the rear wheel to change the shocks on a Softail, just extra work for nothing.

He probably removes the right turn signal to drain the primary....

More work/time = more $$$ Just have to support the rear wheel with another jack while the shocks are out.

Just got some for my Heritage. Got them put in and the bike was super low on the highest setting. I called progressive and they said to contact where I got them. Well I have to wait for these people to contact me in the meantime I go to take the shocks off and THEY WOULDN'T come off, t hey juts kept spinning. I had to CUT the mother f*****s OFF!!!!!!!!! I'm expecting an ordeal with these two companies.

I did Progressive Suspension rear shocks on my 2013 Fatboy and just followed the very clear printed instructions and all went well. We did it on the ground as I did not have a lift at the time and we did not remove the back wheel at all. I was a bit of a pain but a friend of mine had the proper Snap-On Torque adapter which made things go a bit easier and another buddy assisted. The instructions clearly show how to stop the shaft from spinning. It is really not rocket science. :) I also set mine at the stock height as shown in this video. I like "ground clearance" :)

I have never seen such rubbish in all my life, taking the pipes and back wheel off just install shocks.

15:21 the limit is 2 inches (no I don't know how much in metric terms)
@VONDOOM885 ай бұрын
1 inch = 25.4mm , so 50.8mm

I think they Americans minds just work differently. This video was so much over thinking.

Somewhat agree as I did mine on the floor (had no lift) and did not have to remove the back wheel at all.
