Those little lathe bits look killer. That attention to detail makes this bike stand out. Can't wait to see it done. Big fan of the chopper Haus pieces.

Thanks mate. Im an absolute kook on the lathe, but having fun learning on little bits of inconsequential parts!

I really like the contrast cut 13 spoke mags... I run the same ones on my dyna, got em off an iron 883 but they look killer on the FXR... I can't wait to see this bike when it's done looks good big dawg! With respect from CALIFORNIA!

Hey legend, I reckon these are off an 883 as well. The bike is actually finished and running, will probably get a few tweaks this winter tho

@jimmyrustles8118 word, I'm watching the other videos now. Man that's the perfect FXR it really is... well done. I don't know what took so long for KZbin to show me your channel but I dig it.

I gave up on the floating type rotors on my bike they always end up rattling, galfer also makes some pretty bad ass solid rotors that I’ve been using with absolutely no issues.
@jimmyrustles81182 жыл бұрын
Yeah I've seen them and definitely like the design, but not sure if I'd buy Galfer again out of principle, especially when there's so many other manufacturers. I know a bunch of guys that have tight Galfers, and other places (shops) DM saying all Galfers end up like that, so who knows (apparently not the bloke I was emailing @ Galfer lol)

Hello, how do you like the rear shock mounts back on the swing arm of the 02 Road King swing arm and did you have to do any mechining on it to fit the frame?? Thanks for your time.👍👍 BAD ASS BIKE (Have one myself) 👍👍
@jimmyrustles81184 ай бұрын
They're fine, I use the RP shock position too so it offsets the slant a bit. If you had the RK swing arm and used the front shock mount the shock would be quite layed down. No machining needed, but I did use the RK trans, and all the wheel/caliper/sprocket was all custom and measured up

S&S made those cases for star racing
@jimmyrustles81182 жыл бұрын
That's interesting, is there any reading material available online about that? Ive seen a few similiar setups (TC motor with evo mounts) but don't know the background of them. There's a few Jims Race motors using the same style cases. I just thought they where an alternate style case offered by S&S (and probably others) not necessarily made FOR a single company.
@thegnostic332 жыл бұрын
@@jimmyrustles8118 I have a set of these and called s&s a gave them the numbers on the cases they told me the info on them im turning my into a 145 with b2 heads
@jimmyrustles81182 жыл бұрын
@@thegnostic33 interesting! These ones where purchased direct from S&S and come with the SS tags etc. 145 will be a huge motor... it'd rip.

hey dude, i got a 39mm narrow front end im trying to fit radial tokikos on but they are hitting my 3/4 sealed 13 spokes, are the brembo radials more narrow?
@jimmyrustles81185 ай бұрын
Couldn't tell you but you should definitely be able to make that setup work, even if you space it a touch. How far off are you

i cant even get the caliper to sit on the rotor without it hitting the spoke, got me wondering if this setup doesn't work@@jimmyrustles8118

Is it hard that the it a motogadget gauge on an FXR?
@jimmyrustles81183 ай бұрын
Depends how good you are with wiring. It's straight forward, all the diagrams are online in the manual, but the gauge wire is finicky.

Better in what way? Would be a very diff shape as it factors floorboards and bags in.
