I have a ‘17 FXSB Breakout from new . I love it 🖤 . I think it’s the best looking Harley made . After a full day of riding I’m beat to hell , it’s brutal . That being said , I wouldn’t change a thing . I’d buy it & ride it all over again !
@MakaJerycho3 жыл бұрын
Subtle changes - better pegs, sportier tyres and raise the bars slightly on 1 1/2 risers and you’ll feel less beaten up :)

I can't tell you how many people told me I was on the wrong bike when I toured around the country on my FXDL-S. (that I put a factory Street Bob seat on) I'd tell them I didn't know I needed a sofa with a chest of drawers and tea cupboard bolted to it to tour. 🤣

I got them on a Facebook group. Breakout owners or something like that. Tbh a decent machine shop should be able to knock something together on a lathe. 1.5” extension. No need to alter any cables

Hey Maka! This video was right about just what I was looking for. Im in a stage where Im wondering to swap to a Street Glide or just continuing riding my kick ass Breakout. I love the breakout in every way exept for touring. But I think you just changed my mind, you my friend got a great setup! What kind of sadlebags and mounting system do you got there, any partnumbers? And Im also interesting in what brand/productnumber that sweet windshield has aswell.
@MakaJerycho4 жыл бұрын
The windscreen and the saddlebags along with the fitting kit are all Harley Davidson. In the 2017 catalogue. If you pop into the dealer they should be able to find it. The windscreen is a 19” smoked quick fit sport screen from harley for the breakout
@MakaJerycho4 жыл бұрын
You do NOT need to swap the breakout just to tour! I’ve done cities, cross country, off road, rural roads and adventure trails on my Breakout. Don’t sacrifice something you love if it can do it.
@bjrnundrum46934 жыл бұрын
@@MakaJerycho Thanks for the reply, Ill pop by the local dealer to burn some money then! Yeah Ive been around everywhere myself, I really love the bike. So I figger if I just swap back to the stock rearfender when touring, I actually can bring luggage aswell, not having to have a backpack (Running a short custom rearfender normally). And after I found your video Ill definitely going for sadlebags and a windshield. Thanks again.

im just about to change from a BMW GS to a Breakout. Doing tours is something i have questioned if it would be doable. Also, i hear HD are discontinuing the Breakout. Do you think thats an issue, with regards to getting aftermarket parts?
@MakaJerycho3 жыл бұрын
I tour on my breakout. Granted you won’t really be doing adventure trails on one as they are quite low. As for parts, most independent garages have survived years repairing old discontinued harleys. I can’t see it being a problem :)))
