I think that this Harley Davidson seller did not mention that 2013-2017 has done in CVO with 110 cubic inch engine , and that in 2018-2020 you have only one kind of rims with whole new breakout model.It is logical that you got improvements in new model , like led lights, display, ...,but the 103 engine in old breakout sounds much better.
@evil_musclemuscled38145 жыл бұрын
I've always liked power in anything with wheels but on a Harley I don't wanna sacrifice my mpg. Now if I had a vrod I'd treat the bike right and wouldn't always get on it . Glad you made this video man and if you make anymore videos on any breakout or any other Harley I'll be there to watch
@ericeisenhofer28674 жыл бұрын
I chose the 2016 because of price, lots of quality upgrades by previous owner, better tank, and the 16 with vance and hines pipes just plain sounds better.
@marka17124 жыл бұрын
Imagine that.... salesman at the dealership says “I’d recommend the 2020” and names all the ways the new one is so much better. The new one handles better and makes more power but it’s ugly and neither of them is made for track days. The slightly better performance doesn’t outweigh the newer ugly changes in appearance or the sound vs the twin cam.
@SlagleRock4 жыл бұрын
Mark a I’m a motorcyclist first and foremost. I don’t help with these videos for advertising i do it for the love of the bikes. I’ve owned upwards of 80 motorcycles in my life and I’m no brand shop. Currently in my garage you’ll find 2 Honda’s, a Suzuki, a Yamaha, a vintage Triumph and just last night i purchased a 1976 CB750 basket case i have high hopes for. I personally own a 2013 CVO Breakout which is absolutely stunning to look at but I’d be a liar if I said it could hang with the new M8.

I’m still torn between the old and new breakout.. I like the chromed out look and the cvo chromed rims are killer along with the sound of the twin cam that I prefer. Then I see the M8 shits on the old Breakout in every way apart from looks and sound.. I’m coming from a vstar 650, so I’m completely fine with how that handles and turns so if the old breakout has the same drivability or better then I think that will do for me. Isn’t the old breakout 4.5 sec 0-60 while the new breakout is 4 sec 0-60? Also how noticeable is the power and torque difference as I’m a speed freak lol Thanks!
@aztriumphster4 жыл бұрын
@@Hybr1dK1dz i agree that the looks and sound of the old Breakout get the win. Also the fuel capacity is better. But, the M8 Breakout handles noticeably better, closer to the V start style of handling. And the M8 motor runs circles around its predecessor. The M8 motor is also smoother, like the v star.
@AlDoggyDogg9 ай бұрын
I have a 2014 FXSB. I traded a 2019 Fat Bob and I specifically wanted a twin cam over the M8. They sound great and run phenomenal. The M8’s might be more efficient, but it takes a lot to get them to sounding the right way for me. I can’t feel a difference in real world riding comparing the two, but I do agree that the 2014 feels hot. My 2002 TC doesn’t feel the same heat wise so maybe I just need a tune.

I love the breakout like I love the vrod. In 2018 I went to Harley to me a new bike , the breakout didn't cut it for me cause it has a little tank . Another bike I like is the new Fatboy , the girth of a Harley is what I'm really into plus the Fatboy has a 5 gallon tank . I made a comment about why I didn't want the breakout , the sales man tells me that they have three pre-owned breakouts up stairs . I take a look at the three and they all have 5 gallon tanks . These bikes look new . My girl was sitting there waiting for me , she's a 103 ,5 gallon tank with only 498 miles on the Speedo. She has a screaming eagle air breather and a big radius v&h exhaust in chrome . This bike already has the Willie G handle bar and forward foot controls . I would trade my 103 in for any new bike , she doesn't suck gas like the 114 and being I like riding in long stretches , this one's for me
@MotorcyclerideCyprus5 жыл бұрын
In the video neither of you did not mention the smaller tank on the new breakout! The smaller gas tank is a problem! especially if you ride around the Island of Cyprus as I do and video my rides! lots of Mountains and not so many gas stations!I am 5''5'' and have rode a Harley Davidson Rocker c now for 5 years, no problems with reach, but I sat on a Milwaukee eight breakout and with my feet forward, the size of the engine casings was a problem, it pushes your legs out each side, the engine casings seem a lot bigger? I would think someone our height and size would have problems with reaching the forward pegs on the new Breakout?

Love the new led stuff thou. It's a shame Harley didn't leave the fuel tank the same as the older model. I think that's the all thing that let's it down. I have a Custom Dynamics LED kit, a the Screamin Eagle Stage IV 117 kit, and a Vance and Hines Pro Pipe. I don't have any trouble with handling. The performance is decent. I want *more* than the 112HP and 124 ft/lb. It's getting Wiseco pistons and Total Seal rings from T-Man Performance, and probably a custom cam set from Comp Cams. Possibly some S&S stuff, too, roller rockers, cam plate, and oil pump. Of course, the other option is the Screamin Eagle 120R, although even that would get new cams. I'm wanting to push 140HP, or better.

Really I have seen a thousand video's of hopped up Harley's and all I hear is noise and loud exhaust but not much throttle response is real soft unless these riders are only crackin about 1/3 throttle as far as my pocket book I will never know how fast those bike's are because most of them are over $30,000.00 and who needs some high dollar plastic hard shell cover saves a few pounds of weight but cost several hamburgers and lots of shakes and fries, I would rather spend my money on fine food and pretty women.
