I find this humorous as that tech went above and beyond. I have regretfully taken a few of my bikes in to shops and received nowhere near this level of caring. I'm sure having a camera all up on you for the subscribers to witness one will change ones quality of work

Tires 7 years old? Got you beat. I bought a 96 Heritage Classic with 6,000 miles on it about 18 months ago. Had the Original or at least tires were date coded 1996! They actually looked perfect, but they were more plastic than rubber now. Got it from a guy who was 65 and he got it from the original owner who was 85! Both of them kept it in climate controlled storage and apparently rarely rode it! It is in pristine condition and I stole it for $5,400!!! Yes, it has new tires, new brake fluid, the works. Not the 1992 Heritage Softail Nostalgia (Moo Glide) I always wanted, but still a pretty sweet bike-red and silver.

Put those same tires on my 87 FLHS. They are ok. I thought the center was supposed to be stronger, but I have had 2 small screws go right into the center of the tire in less than 1K miles I had them put a tube inside because the tire was so new. You do need to have a Harley sound when you do fast forward instead of dirt bike sound. LOL

Smart move Tripp.....After about five years the tires, tubes, rim liner and valve stem should get replaced, regardless. I just picked up another Heritage Classic only 5 years old in mint condition, garage kept and covered, shipped in from Penn....Only 1800 miles on it. The day after I got it in the garage the tires, tubes and all got changed out. Then I did the service front to back. I refuse to be the guy on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere with a flat...I hope. Good video...Thanks!

Big burly guy with a humming bird sipping nectar on a purple flower as a tattoo, lol. It's actually a pretty cool tattoo. I'm of the opinion that if you're going to get tattoos they have to be bad azz like demon skulls ripping out of your skin or something. Hence why I don't have any tattoos or plan to get any. Dude probably would have taken his shirt off if no video was pointed at him or had more fans pointed at him. Nice job on his work. My world is kind of shattered. I have been looking at Deluxe models and I always just thought the spokes went into the chrome piece as it was part of the hub on the front wheel but see it's just some removable hollow cover just resting on the spikes and there's nothing special about that front wheel at all...darn. Also, I like the dirt bike sounds on fast forwards as I have a sense of humor. Very beautiful motorcycle you have there and I really like the color scheme.

The value of a good shop cannot be understated. If only they were easier to find. The stock tires Harley uses SUCK in the rain. OMG, do they suck. I gave up on white walls. Too much work. I’m lazy. I’m using Metzeler Marathons these days. They will outlast the cockroaches after nuclear war. Grip reasonably well and don’t suck in the rain. Probably more than 7 years old, but no cracking. If only the shop didn’t put air in the link in my front brakes when doing the fork rebuild recently. I have to four finger my front brakes now cuz my fingers get in the way. Looks like I’ll have to bleed them. Better than taking it back in and having to shuttle there and back. It’s a dealer. Private shops are often better for “while you wait” stuff. I’ll be doing that for tires for another bike later this week. Your valve stems aren’t buried in the middle of spokes. My stock RK rims were, it was a major beyotch to check the tire pressure. I swapped out for some wagon wheel rims. No tubes, I can plug em if I get a flat and much easier to check the tire pressure. Don’t look as cool as white walls and spoked rims, but way less hassle, which I really like. I’m curious how you like the tires after you’ve ridden on them a bit, they look like pretty good tires. Enjoy!
