I've had ton of bikes during my 26 years of riding (German , italian , Japanese ) but my little iron 883 is by far my favourite . Loud , obnoxious , slow , ridiculously basic , rattles your teeth to the roots .... perfect !! . Mine is so customised now that it is virtually unrecognisable . Hours of fun in the shed as well as on the road. LUUUURVVV MY SPORTY !

You are spot on! My son bought a 2020 883, his first bike ever. Over the two years, we’ve done some upgrades: 1200 kit, Vance and Hines slip ons, Corbin seat, Highboy handle bars, smoked led signals, and a few other small cosmetic changes. He absolutely loves the ride and and the look. Looks classic, and he gets a lot of positive comments on look and sound. Great first bike, mine was a 1979 Kawasaki 175! Love your channel, one of the best out there!

As a 31 year old in Germany who is saving up to get a licence (over here around the 1000€ mark), riding gear and downpayment, it makes me very sad to not have the Iron 883 in the catalogue. The entry level bikes that we have available are the Softail Standard or the Street Bob, which are not entry bikes for their price and for their huge amount of power for a beginner. If I lived in the U.S. I would have been sleeping outside an H-D dealership to get grabs on their first 2022 883 Iron. I’ll have to go into the second-hand market, or see whether my closest H-D dealerships have a pre-owned certified Iron, but I would love to get it brand spanking new, because this model is a keeper even as a second bike down the road when I upgrade to a touring model.

I will be sad to see the iconic sportsters go. The 883 iron and iron 1200 are beautiful bikes IMO. Going to try and convince the wife to get an 883 this summer. But ultimately it is her choice. Still, the bare bones rawness the iron 883 achieves is what makes me love Harleys. There is no substitute for mental health IMO than riding motorcycles. Especially the classic air cooled harley-davidsons.

Respected folks in the industry have stated in opinion(?) the sportster stock header pipes have a hard time being replaced for performance. They are some of the best headers in the game. All that's really needed is a set of slip-ons. And an intake and tuner. But as far as a full system, slip-ons are less expensive for the most part. And just as good.🤪

T-Bl, thanks for visually explaining the digital side of the single gauge! Now, with a greater sense of confidence and comfortability, I can straddle the 883 and not feel like a bungling idiot because I can't figure out the gauge. Upgrades, for me, would be: 1. The seat 2. The handle bars 3. The wind shield 4. The custom paint color on it! 5. The engine guards No motor "pimping" (hot rod performance enhancements) This video, I've been waiting for a while to hear about the functions of the one gauge. Doug🏍️🤓👍⭐⭐⭐ No exhaust pipe changes

Such a huge mistake to drop the traditional sportster. They have no entry level bike then with traditional Harley feel and sound. The revolution engine is fine, but it doesn’t have the Harley sound or feel. If they went to that engine for all their bikes I might as well go with Honda.

@johncallahan35732 жыл бұрын
You'll probably fit just fine- best bet is go to the dealer, sit on one and decide for yourself. If you don't fit, there are few bikes that have as many factory and aftermarket options to make sure you do. Fwiw I bought an Evo 883 the first year they came out (1986). Back then I was 245 and 6' .... the stock setup fit me fine. Still miss the bike and it was bit more affordable back then, $3995, they couldn't keep them on the floor.

Needs chrome exhaust, chrome air cleaner, chrome sidecovers, chrome upper belt guard, chrome bars, chrome mirrors, chrome turn signals, chrome headlight housing, silver painted wheels and fork lowers, and a few other shiny parts. I'd probably even put a chrome swing arm on it. Get rid of the reflectors. ThunderMax tuner with wide band O2 sensors is the only way to go. The only real reason to buy a Sportster is the Harley shake and the sound. Without that, you are better off going Japanese.

If you’ve never ridden a bike before I definitely wouldn’t start with the Lowrider S. I’d look at the 883 Iron and the Sportster48. Based on power, weight and seat height these options will be good for you. If you’re taller or NEED. 6 speed transmission look at the Softail standard. All of these will also be a lot cheaper.
