"Seven Lakes Drive", I was there this past October 7th with my brother and two cousins. Went over the Bear Mountain bridge and up to the lookout over the Hudson. Only about 9,000 bikes went by in the twenty minutes we hung out. My '07 Road King was humming along through them twisties but not with the same amount of "authority" as Mad Max!

I say sell it. It's imminent dude. You got all those suppliers that help you trick out a bike. Between that fact, and there being a new CVO Road Glide, with a new 121" VVT liquid cooled motor, inverted forks, Brembo brakes, complete LED light package. That bike needs a CycleFanatix touch applied to it. In every way! Im here for it.

You're always asking the tuff questions, John 😂. My thoughts are if they are integrating some of the 2023 CVOs new features into the 2024 RG and SG I'd be looking at upgrading my ride! I'm hoping they bring over the new Nav panel, VVT, and handlebars to the '24s, those integrated LED directionals, gas cap, ... I can go on and on.

Watch out if you have screamin eagle lifters. Mine failed after 19000km killed my engine. Get some ss or woods alpha lifters

He turned that SG into a perfectly respectable Limited 😂. Seriously, just buy the Limited and save on about 1/4 of the upgrades since those parts come stock. I’d keep it at this point unless he’s rich and just wants to spend $$$. ✌️

i would keep the bike and just keep adding stuff to it. my bike 21 harley ultra stage 2 build and already haves 33k miles but that doesnt bother me, after the motor goes ill just do a 131

I love the twisties, when I plan a route its all about riding the back roads. I just did two days in the Catskills(finally made it to the Hawks Nest) and I found some of the most amazing roads in I've ridden in NY. Steve's SG has some bad ju-ju. Once a rider get's "that feeling" about their bike its hard to come back from. So I guess its where Steve's head(and wallet) is at as too whether or not he keeps the SG.

The ST is a big rip off. You pay extra for standard panniers and standard 13” shocks slightly bigger, motor, and bronze color wheels. Get a special and use the money saved on performance suspension and a cam. And swap the bags with somebody. They’ll probably pay you extra.

I’d wait on a new Street Glide myself. I’d do the plan of selling and buying one but not first year model. I’m gonna wait and see what needs to be settled with the possible faults. By the time I’m ready the less expensive models will have the 121 motor.

I have the Metzler Cruistecs on my RG ultra, and i love them. After i got them mounted I had bad wobble too. Same issue, bearing adjustment.

John go with the metzler or the avon cobra u won't get the same life as michelin, but there grippy and ur power. You don't need that rear tire kicking out on you in the cold 😢

He's worked his way through a set of minor problems, many of which seem like install issues. Maybe it's gonna be good now. On the other hand maybe it was built on Friday. It's nicer than my old Ford and I trust that truck, it gets me where I want to go. I don't love it, not even close, but I'm gonna drive it until I lose confidence in it. With the amount of custom stuff on the Street Glide, it seems like there is something else going on.

I got a 2021 Ultra 23.500.ks my wheel bearing started to go at 10.000ks no one could work out what vibration was till bearing blu out at 23500 ks on the rear. I had crusetek tyres i had a wobble. Tyres were not rated for my bike.. The rear was wrong weight rated... i went with a harder sidewall..i went Bridgestone BattleCruise H50...

Back in 2021 I got a set of Commander IIIs ... they vibrated badly and when I wore them out (good mileage by the way), I switched to Metzeler, which are smooth. comfy and the bike handles nicely. Time will tell how many miles I get out of them, but they make the bike so much nicer to ride. Sorry Michelin, your quality control is poor, so I had to find something better and I did. Thanks to Metzeler.

Figure you get thrown in prison riding like that in Jersey. Sweet road to ride. My 128 runs like that, she hates going slow. It's a blast. Dealerships only give you Blue Book value and nothing for upgrades and accessories. The dealership would love for you to trade but you will lose money. You might get more selling it yourself but have to go through all the BS that comes along with that and for the price you would be asking, the odds of getting someone serious is going to be slim. Unless you got money to piss away, don't sell it. Know folks who got 100,000+ miles on their motorcycles.

They are made by Santoro Fabworx “Not Yo Daddy” saddlebag guards Warning : they have a metal tab that will bottom out on the swing arm at times Especially if your rear shocks are on a soft setting

Just a heads up on the CruiseTecs. I’ve got around 9k miles on my set right now and the front tire recently started cupping. I check tire psi before every single ride. They were wearing perfectly fine until this past Fl. to Tn. and back trip. Last year on the first trip from Fl. to Tn and back they were brand new and rode excellent without issue. This year On the way up to Tn. the tires were wearing fine but after a couple days hitting the curves in the mountains I noticed the front started cupping and now after riding back to Fl. it’s pretty much spent.

I got 50K on my 128 HD Kit. All HD parts except exhaust. Been from one of the country to the other. From the ocean to the mountains. All weather except snow. Runs very well still. Doesn't like to go slow. Hates stop lights. It will get you to 100mph quick.

Man, if it’s me, I cut my losses, unload the bike somehow and start over. Probably not a popular choice, personally I can’t handle a bike that keeps having these gotcha moments with a break here or a fail there. That bike might not have been right leaving the factory. It happens. I feel for the brother though; dang nobody needs a bike you can’t depend on.

If its just to another SG Special then absolutely no....there is no differernce in the new ones and his.....if he was going to a CVO or an RG or somethign different, then sure...but to go to another SG, by hte time he was done he would lose 20 grand...better off he could go to Harley and get a 135 crate motor and would STILL be WAY AHEAD....
