I bought the wheel and tire warranty for my 2020 RG. It turned out my front wheel was out by 8/1000s and wearing my rotors out. I now have a new wheel, tire and rotors. I'm glad I bought it. It was bad from the factory.

I have the 3 yr warranty on my used 2012 CVO Ultra and I’m so glad, one visit was going to cost me 1500 with some worn out parts. All covered under the warranty. It literally paid for itself in the one visit.

I had a new 2016 SGS. Did not get the warranty. Never had a problem. Had it for 6 years and 36000 miles. Now I have a 2022. Did not get the warranty. Not sure if I can yet. I have 8000 miles on it so far.

All of my Hondas ran great until the day they died. Did not need a warranty ever.

I won't deal with nothing but full bumper to bumper warranty coverage as stuff cost way to damn much these days even in the used or fleet commercial marketplace for say Ford, Chevrolet, Dodge or bigger rigs

I've had the aftermarket warranty on my last two bikes. I'm glade I had them. I never had a issue with harley's extended warranty

Just picked up my 2008 Softail FLSTC from the dealer, warranty work $1662.32 Total on the billing work order is $ 67.21 I say the warranty is good.

extended warranties are just like insurance: the odds are with the "house". I have had both Factory Harley ESP and aftermarket ESP, and I worked for a Harley-Davidson service department for over 4 years. WE dealt with a lot of extended warranties. They can be useful, and can end up saving you money. On my 2006 Road King, ESP (Factory) paid for a broken throttle cable, cam chain tensioners (at 80,000 miles), and a couple of tires, since I did have tire & wheel coverage. MY current bike, a 2018 Road King, had the typical blowby problem common to M8s. MY aftermarket extended warranty paid for a fuel pump and complete rebuild of the top end (M8 cylinders are basically throwaway), and I covered a few bucks for upgrade and dyno tuning. They have also replaced a factory cross-threaded caliper bolt (needed a new caliper). I had the repairs done at an aftermarket shop, and there was no issue at all with repairs or payment from the company. I put a lot of miles on my scoots, although not like I used to, but I also travel in some pretty remote areas where the nearest dealer is 2000 miles away. Extended warranty to me is worth the money. And, always get the tire and wheel coverage.

Purchased a new Lowrider ST in May of 2022. Rear brake has never worked from new, and fork seals are both leaking oil onto the front brake discs at 8000 miles. Selling dealer (4 hours distant) closed up shop, and other dealer has refused to do the warranty repairs. Called Harley-Davidson for advice, and they were ABSOLUTELY NO HELP AT ALL. All I can say is, Buyer Beware.

Anything warranty wise is going to be OEM parts then if you want to upgrade that hit a One Stop Motorcycle Shop like JP Cycles or RevZilla

I din't think 3rd party warranties are a thing in Australia. Government enforcement on those is pretty strong here. Used dealers are required to give you at least a 3 month warranty and can extend it through the dealership, but rarely offer the extension. I think Harley dealerships do offer the extended used warranty but that might be limited to bikes serviced through the dealer network. Either way you are paying with the warranty because it is void if you service the bike yourself. If you have mates that know what they are doing around an engine, keep the money in your pocket.

With cars trucks or bikes, I always ask....Does the extended warranty actually extend the warranty or does it replace it for more money? Usually the sales person walks off to 'talk to the finance person or a manager then comes back and tries to change the subject.

I guess because I do all my own work I feel warranty is a scam. Parts like fork seals are dirt cheap. I'd rather keep the money in my pocket if nothing goes wrong rather than give it to somebody else and hope something goes wrong so I can get my money back.

Don’t feel like the Lone Ranger, 🤷‍♂️ and my very first new vehicle ever was a 1990 HD Low Rider! But they took care of their customers then. They fixed a problem three years after I owned it, and the warranty was only 12 month 12,000 mile. But they fixed it because it was something that shouldn’t have happened.
