Found a 2008 vtx 1800, 5000 miles, way cheap ,like new, fall of 2018, then like a month later, found a 2013 raider, 3500 miles, like new, way cheap, how could I resist either. Now my 92 vmax is just sitting there, not running.These 2 newer bikes are sweet cruisers, just bounce back and forth between them. Chomping at the bit to get my vmax going again. 3 bikes to juggle , love it.

Jay Hall yeah, it’s a bomb, I give you that, but in my book it’s not a real cruiser. It’s more built as a sport engine than the V-Twin typical cruiser. This bike can go over 100km/h on the fist gear. That is not to me a cruiser. It doesn’t even look like a cruiser.

What's everyone's thoughts on the raider vs the vtx 1800 power thanks
@JonsMotoGarage5 жыл бұрын
It's been a few years since I jumped on a vtx 1800. My impression was always that they seem a lot torquier/twitchy. Not sure how to describe it exactly. Like I mentioned in the video, the raider seems a bit more tame. Still tons of power, but not as harsh when you get on it. So, it all comes down to personal preference. Hopefully someone else can chime in who had more insights. Thanks for checking the vid!

Yeah, it’s me again. Sorry but the VTX1800 is a muscle bike but doesn’t have the torque that Raider has. And I’m writing before the race and I don’t care if the dyna will be the winner because it is no match with the Raider. If any dyna win it’s because the Raider’s rider is not used to race. In fact, no Harley is except maybe and I say maybe because the 114 has not even the torque to match the Raider. Only for the 0-60 of course.
