The scout was never competing with the sportster. There was no sportster when the original scout existed! And in recent years the sportster was a tractor and the scout a modern tech sporty cruiser. Zero competition, until the new bikes popped up. And Indian kept the lead and further extends it in that segment, in stock style at least, even with that big exhaust.

I ride Indian and I see no single point of indin ripped off by Harley. The Harley RG (didn’t ride ST CVO) has nothing from the Indian and more power from the ST CVO isn’t a rip off of Indian either. The base engine, let alone the bigger engine have zero resemblance to the Indians, just a different engine in all character. The chassis, while architecture is stone-old over aged, they threw in all they had (not much in std. version) to keep up with Indian, and they kind of do, aside from the shorter dragging rear that is just plain sheit on bumps. HD’s bag Lid’s are flimsy and have always been and so Harley tries to narrow into Indian’s subpar cockpit covers with cheap plastic either, the cockpit digital display is a step ahead of Indian, but I wonder how practical it is in active use. So no rip-off of Indian, more so of the HD customers and while so a big improvement to the last model - a must buy in Harley Culture, certainly not for anyone who already has a big twin Indian bagger.

I have a 2001 Sportster 1200c and recently bought a 2021 scout bobber with 300 miles on it for 8k.I was patient in getting the scout and was blessed to have a good deal fall in my lap and I love this bike. The differences between the 2 are enormous in the way they ride and the way they put power to the back wheel, but I love the differences each bike has and try and ride each bike the same amount. the scout has a more refined ride while the sportster has the raw and obnoxious sound and vibration that Harley riders crave. love your videos. peace.

Even if you dont like indian and are a 100% harley or nothing person , at least indian is bringing competion to the market and making both manufacturers come up with better bikes . Thats a good thing for everyone .

For 4K its a bargain, its only just run in, I'm never selling my 2014 limited edition model, with the Q5 intakes, Cobra swept exhaust and the ECU flashed it's a total torque monster .. It's the most fun you can have whilst still wearing your jeans 😂

I actually own one and just Love it. My only 2 complaints are, seat a bit small for a big guy like me, 235 lbs 6’2” and gas ⛽️ tank too small, besides these, Just Love the Beast and the looks I get on the roads

I own 2 Victory Motorcycles, a '12 Highball, Blk& Wht, full tune and some hot rod parts, and a '14 XC in Titanium Suede, Full boat Lloyds performance kit, Victory Aint dead yet, check out my short videos on my channel. These bikes Rock! they are stupid fast once a tune is is on board, my Highball went 12.4 at 110mph with a rock hard Michelin Commander 3 @ 36 lbs with a 1.8 60 foot time, all my friends ride Harleys and not many can keep up....

One of the main problems with old VMax(s?) are the carbs. My buddy has 2 old ones and both of them have carb issues, leaks, rich/lean… it’s a lot to get synchronized and they are not the easiest to get to from what he tells me. Otherwise just minor stuff, he’s ridden them all over the country w me on long tours and they have been stone reliable..

A video I should've seen a week ago. I had an XSR125 to learn , couldn't resist to buy xsr700 xtribute in 2 weeks and now pretty happy with that. Heard of a similiar warnin' from one of my friends so have been extremely careful on the throttle sensitivity but I'd also say I love the bike <3 Thanks for the content

My 04' felt heavy and wallowy. Like a supercharged Caddy. Perfect cruiser. I'm 6 feet tall and I would ride it crouched forward like on Seabiscuit. Plus, I had a cut-down seat from UFO.

I love these bikes. Beats the Sportster coming and going. Harley would have had a winner here with this turning into an adventure bike. It can run circles aroudn the Himalyan. There are a few goofy things - like that vestigal fairing, and the mirrors on the ends of the handlebars, but those are trivial. It's light (for a Harley) and easy to ride. Test rode one and ended up getting a Dyna instead, twice the engine side and half again the weight. If I end up getting one, the seat will be changed, bags added, and a windshield installed. I will also do something about the pegs as well. Still, personalization is the norm for Harley.

Owning a 93 Gl1500SE I loved the fact that I never had to adjust the valves, in 2005 I picked up a 99 Valkyrie and learned that valve adjustments were necessary every 10k miles, one more reason that it only has 60k while the 93 has a 150k.

It’s an amazing bike. I own a 2022 FTR R Carbon and just Love it. I live in central Florida, have ridden in open roads, highways, city traffic and back roads. I will not put it on trails, only asphalt or cement roads. My only 2 complaints are, would be nice to have a bigger gas ⛽️ tank and more comfortable seat; however I still Love it. Brakes, handling, technology, torque, acceleration, electronics and it’s Looks, just Awesome Amazing

Once you test drive one you realize that it’s too much for the size. If I want that much power it’s not going to be in a cruiser, I’ll go to the sport bike for the weight. Easier to control.

Idk what this guy is going on about. Rode my daughter's yesterday , 5/24 , first time on a street bike in a long time , and it is smooth and easy to ride ...plus it has a steering damper that her's does not , and it could use it if you are going to ride it hard.
