I'm glad to see a real working toolbox. So many seem too organized as if they planed for a photoshoot.

Thank you for the great tour!! wish I had some of those beautiful tools! Myself, I've learned to wrench on my Triumph, after finding dealership service lacking, I have basic metric tools, and I use my Hanes manual along with KZbin tutorials. So far Ive done coolant change/flush, air filter replacement ( now DNS), oil changes, brake pads, brake fluid bleeding, tire changes, static balancing, chain maintenance, and chain removal and replacement, (never broke a chain but now I know how). And for higher handlebars I needed to replace both cables to extended version, that meant removal of gas tank. So basically I've done everything except inside the engine. I was actually going to do the valve clearance check, but I chickened out because I don't have my own garage and it was looking a bit intimidating to start that and finding Ive done something wrong. So I hired a motorcycle mechanic to do it. ($650) Other than that I feel confident that I know my bike pretty good ( over 40,000 Km) and know its in top shape. I am envious of your cool shop! I've heard that Snap On are some of the best tools money can buy! Thanks again for the tour! 🙂🙂🙂

Recommend you add a Chapman tool kit. It's a miniature ratchet with a driver handle including an assortment of hex tips for tight spaces. Some kits have Slotted, Phillips, Metric and SAE Hex Bits, plus Star bits. Chapman has been around since 1936, USA made, Govt suppliers. Most military aircraft mechanic toolbox have a set. Amazon sells them, but I usually deal with Chapman directly. Great for carb or fuel injection work, top of rocker boxes under the frame, oil pumps, starters, handlebar controls...

Dasha you gotta look into VIM they have all the stubby bits and sockets in allen and torx that are perfect for those tight or hard to access spots. Just one snap on or matco socket cost as much as a whole set from vim. Also VIM is the OEM for matco's torx and allen bit sockets.

Great video! You say not organized, but it is more organized than the toolboxes of some "Master Mechanics" I have seen. LOL But if you saw mine, you would shake your head. I worked as a nurse in my previous life, sometimes in the OR, so I am sure you can just imagine. LOL Keep up the great work!

Nice toolbox I always used craftsman or cheaper stuff starting out and replaced it when it broke and took the cheaper tools home. Now after 30 years I 3 full sets pretty much. I am losing one box to my niece though she decided to become a diesel mechanic like me and I promised her my home box if she did in school. Good too more women in the trades these days.

thanks man, I am proud of it :) the collection does build with time but that is awesome that you're passing down one of your boxes. there is something special about toolboxes that are passed down. :)

Do you need special sockets to go with the rocker box (Lang) ratchet. Also, can you show a video technique wise how to torque rear rocker screws with/with out the dog bones!
@MotoDasha
@MotoDasha 4 ай бұрын
so as of the near future, I doubt I'll get my hands on a rocket box that needs work, but the tools I shown in the video as all I use for rocket boxes. the lang ratchets do not come nor need additional sockets. But if you're curious, the dog bones, ( i only use them because of fitment and using my torque wrench with socket, it just won't fit under the frame backbone above the rocker boxes) but when attaching the dogbones to the torque wrench, the only thing to keep in mind is, the dogbone and torque wrench must be at 90 degree angle for an accurate torque measurement. so as long as you keep the dogbone at 90 degrees ( L shape) with the torque wrench, it'll make it easy and accurate way to get the right torque measurement.

At 2:43: When you have to hammer a bearing or any hardened surface, BE CAREFUL! I often have to cut and hammer with a chisel some bearings at work as well, but recently i had a sharpnel fly inside my arm and i needed surgery to remove it. Eye protection and long sleeve if you can!
@spanish111japan

Hardened steel can cause sharpnel easily and it flies away with strength, thats why!

F U buddy. My Wife at the time turned her wrenches on a 1995 XLH1200 Trev Deely Canadian Edition, one of 1400 made. She was the most careful, never scratched or broke anything.

🥹😊🥰 ( I am just to lazy to drive to harbor freight, at the time I worked in my last dealer, that store was over 30 minutes away, so on my days off that was the last thing I wanted to do just to replace tools. It was just more convenient to wait a week for the snappie to arrive😅)
