Bob.. you have no idea how happy I am to have found this video! I have a neighbor who just inherited her fathers 48 and 50 panheads. She is bringing the 50 down here next weekend to see if it will start. The carb on this old school chop has the numbers M 74 B . Do you know of any other creators here on YT who discuss this carb as well as you did the points and timing?

Yes, Pacific Mike, and Hunting Harleys. The Carb is a Linkert (which is correct for that year). Pacific Mike did a 8 part series on rebuilding that carb. Look forward to hear how getting is running goes. Let me know if there are any other video topics you'd like to see.

@@oldbobsgarage8019 holy cow… you seen my message and responded! Thank you! This is my first experience with a pan head. Evos, and twin cams are mostly what I’ve worked on so far. I will definitely check out that series from pacific Mike on that carb. This is gonna be fun! Much appreciated, Sir.
