The thing I love about this show is that doesn’t shy away from the fact that Batman IS just as crazy as the villains he fights. With several members of his rogue’s gallery being killed (Mr. Freeze, Penguin, Scarecrow, Mad Hatter) and Selina NOT wanting to advance their relationship instead of vice versa, he’s losing control of the elements in his life that’s keeping him grounded. Even before this episode Batman is basically a man child around Alfred and acts spoiled around him. He’s used to getting everything the way he wants and with everything not going his way, he’s nearly as insane as the Arkham inmates.

I like this Bruce with flaws. He is just as human as the rest of us and prone to breaking down and doing some crazy shit. Doesn't mean he is a bad person, he owns up to what he did later in the episode and does what he can to make it right. He isn't perfect. He is a human being that was pushed too far but realized his error and did what he could to fix it. I wasn't sure about this show when it first came out, but it is great. It is like an abridged series that is still true to the characters. Like a teamfourstar production. Goofy and hilarious parody of the characters, but still true to who they are deep inside.

I mean, it fits with what we've seen of him in the show. In the episode he was introduced, we learned that he did go at it on his own after differences with Batman, and he feels embarrassed to come crawling back after things didn't go well for him. In spite of his differences, he still sees Batman as this unfailing superhero and stresses over living up to this impossible standard he's comparing himself to. Batwoman got him to stop stressing over things and work with the team again, but that kind of just shifted things from "Batman is an impossibly high standard I need to surpass" to "Batman is perfect and shouldn't be doubted". Maybe now that Batman has been humanized in his eyes we'll see another shift.

@@dejanstarwars10 I think it’s been a very long time since there have been jokes like that. Anyways what I think he’s trying to say is that the joke is overdone, and the over privileged white guy has basically become a cliche with most white guys not really being qualified for that label. Actually most white people who act privileged are actually surprise surprise White Women, who are the ones actually creating those jokes in the first place and cutting to the front of the line of “Diversity”. Hell they even start creating things that many people who are actually “Diverse” don’t really like and think is insulting. My culture for example, The Latino culture, has now been given a “diverse” and “wider representative name” which is Latinx. Even though it was made for good intentions, as Latinx was created to be a more gender neutral option. The word is actually very insulting to most of my community because it’s a word that we can’t even pronounce in our own language. If we try to say it, then it would sound like a Jamaican trying to say Latin. So if you want to use a gender neutral term then just call us Hispanic or Latin American.
