However I do agree Birds of Prey is much better than Suicide Squad but the writing and dialogue is still a cringe. And the whole sequel thing is still in debate. What is being iscussed is Gotham City Sirens and that's not because of Margot Robbie. The trio of Catwoman, Ivy and Quinn is a favourite troupe for many true comic readers. My point? BOD has actors with bad reputations. Look at the antagonist and his homewrecker of a current wife that got a major role in the movie. It just leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

I just seen the second suicide squad. I find it funny how in the first one, harley can't swim, to the point where she actually would have died had it not been for batman. But in the second one, one of the first scenes is they all have to jump into the ocean. Harley does it no problem and is able to quickly and safely swim to shore. Edit : seriously people. I love it too. I mean, I know it's not the best out there but I thought it was fun. I mainly watch for Harley and the Joker though. Don't worry, I'm not one of those people that are like "omg, Joker and Harley Quinn are relationship goals!" I honestly really like Leto's Joker. It's an unpopular opinion, I know. But I really wish he was in the movie way more than he was. They used him and Harley as their main advertising characters for this movie and then the Joker was only in it for a couple minutes. With more screentime and better lines, Leto could have done a really awesome job. Leto, Ledger an Joaquin Phoenix are all great Jokers in my opinion. Each one of them has a different take on him and it's so cool to see their individual interpretations.

I love the sound of the hip-hop music in the background when the nightclub scene is introduced. I don't know if it was intentional, but that loud section at the beginning sounds almost like a circus band. It reminds me of the Red Triangle Circus Gang's theme in BATMAN RETURNS, where I swear I can hear elephants making that cacophonous elephant sound in the background.

She was supposed to be "curing" the Joker, but in reality HE was manipulating HER. Electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), which is usually referred to as shock treatment, involves passing a current through a person's brain to alleviate depressive and other psychiatric symptoms. But used incorrectly, it can be used to fracture a persons psyche (which we begin to see, when she goes after Joker on the motorcycle, and kills the trucker). Her transformation into the Harley we see here, was completed during the "Ace Chemicals" flashback scene. Ace Chemicals is the same place that the Joker became the Joker. She jumps into the vat of chemicals which bleaches her skin white and gives her hair its red and blue ends. The chemicals also effected her brain. Her already damaged mental state (from the Jokers manipulating her, and subsequent shock therapy) is completely unhinged from there, due to the chemicals altering the chemicals in her brain, and lack of oxygen. So in short, clown + psychiatrist + shock therapy + toxic chemicals= Harley Quinn. And now a word from our sponsors.

No she isn’t she’s more human and has empathy for others which terrified the joker, this version of the joker tho. Her humanity would ultimately sometimes prove him wrong about her, he believed he could make her at his level that’s why he refuses to love her because joker doesn’t love anyone but he uses Harley love for himself but she gladly gives it to him in any way she can and any way he receives it but Joker is also terrified of her love. Because it shows that she is not like him. That why he said “would you live for me”.
