Great review! I just picked up my Athena and I'm really enjoying it. I also own the HD 600, Sundara, HD Zeus and Elegia, and I think the Athena hits above it's price point. It's a really fun headphone that I would compare similarly to a bassier HD 600. It's also a VERY good headphone for movies. During action sequences you can really feel that sub-bass!

Hi , great video, I wished I bought these instead of massdrop sennheiser hd6xx. The build quality and the cable for the Athena is far better than the Sennheiser hd6xx I have ordered but as well the hd560s I recently bought . Regards mark

Funny you should ask, I plan to pick up the 560s so I can compare. Im sure the low end will be different, but still very curious to compare. Sounds like a video idea.

Honestly i think im just gonna risk it and buy this with the soundblasterx g6 amp/dac and pray to god its good for first person shooters like rainbow six siege

@@pedrocostalins8041 sorry that i havnt been able to reply for a lil while since im moving right now, But for mucic I do like it for me it better than my other headphones and ear buds that I've used and the comfort for long use is really nice I havnt gotten the chance to use it for gaming just yet but once i get settled in then i can let you know on that part.

how would you compare these overall to the hifiman sundaras?

Well..I don't own the Sundaras but did a listen last year. Hard to compare off of a short listen but you'll get better details and space out of the Sundaras. I can tell you that much. Hopefully someone else will see this question that has more experience with them to answer.
