One must be insanely arrogant to suggest knowing something of a God. It is by boldness, Moses became the world's worst navigator, by having one foot in some fantasyland. There is a fine line between fishing & standing on the shore, looking like an idiot. Fail to get the Jews to buy it for 2000 years & they should know who their Messiah is. Jesus is a fake, to immortalize the war against the Jews. Jesus Christ is crucified for all time in literature & the subjects of Rome are illiterate. Freud wrote, "The antidote to Christianity is literacy" & the joke is in the scriptures. "Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:" Galatians 3:13 An improvement on your God & faith; would outlaw indoctrination & abuse of the vocabulary of fiction on children.

the start clcaim aboutr "you are gods" , is not preserved only in the eastern orthodox... if u dont have those in ur bible in america... your bible is literally rewritten and church is corrupt, wich i dont even doubt... americans worship lucifer, not jesus... have you watched grammy awards or anythign hollywood, disney lately ? thjey literally have woke apologetic cartoons how lucifer is actually the victim and the good guy lol... and propbaly transsexual :DD im not kidding... look it up... i dont remember the cartoon name tho.... ... about teaching as being gods... God Is Love “He who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.” (1 John 4:16) You Are God “Is it not written in your Law, “I have said ‘you are gods’”?” (John 10:34) God Is Within You “The Kingdom of God is within you.” (Luke 17:21) Someone has explained pretty well the concept of christianity and the ideology how its not t hat far from actual observable nature and science ... since its art literature... most people are not that intelligent to interpret the bible even... and everyone sees their own meaning in it.... www.wakingtimes.com/god-true-teachings-jesus/

Orthodoxy solved my issues with "Christianity" (Catholicism and Protestantism), and having done that, also opened my mind to the sorts of things that convinced me that God existed. Things the rational mind and tongue cannot easily express, or argue, to explain to others why I now believe, but didn't in the past. I've had some experiences since that were not delusions, or prelest. One syllable spoken by the Holy Spirit into the depths of your being changes everything. My tongue cannot confess it so that others may believe by my testimony alone. Glory be to The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Now, and ever, and unto the ages of ages! Amen!

I am a German protestant and I was able to visit Athos last May shortly after the Orthodox Eastern. A very wise monk gave me a German translation of Theosis and it opened my eyes to a lot a of things. Athos is probably the most beautiful place I have ever been. So much power and peace at the same time. I am thinking about getting baptised again when I will visit the holy mountain again. Christos Anesti!!

If you were baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and there weren’t any sect-specific caveats that are incompatible, I don’t know why you’d need to get rebaptized. Doing so in God’s name specifically is because it is the Lord that confers baptism unto us, not the person baptizing. They are just a mediator, and any sin they commit has no bearing on your baptism. If anyone would tell you differently, I’d be wary of their views. It’s why I do not follow the Orthodox Church, frankly, I cannot get a coherent doctrine from them, as it’s all just generalizations, due to how decentralized it is.

Any church that upholds apostolic succession is built on a heresy. Practicing heresies is a disqualification from heaven. *Galatians 5:20* The apostles had to witness Jesus after his resurrection. You can’t be an apostle without witnessing Christ after the resurrection. Therefore apostolic succession is a heresy and a false belief. Both Eastern Orthodoxy and Catholicism are practicing a different gospel. ------------------ *Galatians 1:6-7 (NLT)* 6 I am shocked that you are turning away so soon from God, who called you to himself through the loving mercy of Christ. You are following a different way that pretends to be the Good News 7 but is not the Good News at all. You are being fooled by those who deliberately twist the truth concerning Christ. ❤💙💙

@@LorenzoMasterConnector also a perfect example of how Rome cares more about submission than she cares about truth! Eastern Catholicism actually proves that the papacy isn’t even “catholic” (meaning universal.) no longer a universal creed or theology, but more than that, you have “catholics” confessing a creed and a theology which Rome once declared heretical, and you have “catholics” venerating saints which Rome once declared anathematized heretics. So are you in communion with heretics, or did the pillar of truth change its mind? @@kaden7374 keep telling yourself those lies. Orthodoxy loves to pretend like it’s got authority and sound doctrine but based off of research and actually trying to get to the bottom of it there are many I mean MANY inconsistencies. There is no mention of “Orthodoxy” in the Bible, prayers, or even pre-schism saints. But keep telling yourself that you’re “one” “holy” “Catholic” and “apostolic” church He reality points that orthodoxy does a lot of lip service and when out to the test fails miserably. I love orthodoxy and enjoy Byzantine liturgy, but when it comes to sharing “truth” it’s a mess and anyone who actually studies the faith can come to that realization with crystal clear accuracy. Pre schism saints affair the papacy, ecumenical councils, the filoque and more bit of course those facts don’t suit you so they are “lies” and “forgeries” Those classic rebuttals don’t work on people who actually have looked into the matte of themselves and I suggest orthodoxy starts sharing the full truth before they start losing followers that actually dive deeper.

That night in my dream, I was awake in my dream and I was laying on a rocky outcrop and I was trying to sleep in my dream. I was wrapped in a wool blanket and each time I awoke in my dream there was a baby lamb on top of me. I would wake up inside of my dream and I would try to shoo the baby lamb away and it would not leave my side. I took that as a sign that Christ has been with me while my entire life, I had been asleep in my life to Christ and his ways and even though I was, he was with me this entire time even when I tried to go separate ways. I am a sinner, I am a 32 year old young man with no family left. Both parents gone. I seek to join a orthodoxy church and commit myself to a life of Christ as he is what gives me life. When I saw the ophanim it was a series of indescribable faces. Not normal ones almost theatre like but more terrifying. A man was guiding me in my dream and he opened a door that wasn’t visible to me and there was the ophanim..boundless in their entirety spinning in both directions simultaneously. It was terrifying and he spoke to me I really don’t remember what of but shortly after I woke up. Same here. Grew up with a very anti-catholic, southern baptist father (who grew up irish Catholic himself but left the church very bitterly). Was always taught that orthodox and catholics were lost and corrupt, not true Christians. As I've got older, i began to look at Christianity as a large nation made up of many different cultures, regions, and people. Catholic, orthodox, luthren, episcopal, Anglican, and many more, we should all be loving each other and working together to prepare the kingdom.

@@kevinsayes Kevin, thank you for your comment and I hope you are having a good day. I understand your frustration with us Christians, with our non-scientific world view, although the deeper in science you get, the more mystery you find, enough that science have to create stuff like dark matter. We can also argue that Christianity played a major if not most critical role in the development of modern science and technology, we have always been a patron. There are many info about this online, from the creation of universities to the Bible's role in literacy and spread of democracy and independent thought. The doctrine of Man being made in the image of God, is the basis of our common law, allowing for many of the freedoms that we hold dear, allowing us to think freely and participate in scientific research. Christians have evolved with modern science and democracy in a partnership to enhance life, We have charities that nourish and educate young people to be future scientist and free thinkers although many of them grow up to mock the church in their pride, now that they have education and knowledge of the material world. At the end, Christians live in this world following teachings handed down to us by our ancestors, wisdom that has sustained us for ages and we pray it sustains us for as long as the sun shines. But this world is not our destination, heaven is, with our God. Our enemies are free to mock us and hate us, as they do through the ages, All we can do is pray that God does not send fire and brimstone upon them, because that happens sometimes. He is a good God after all.

I explored Catholocism and Protestantism but found them completely uncompelling but I like this view of the purpose of human life better. It actually seems like there's a real reward for seeking the truth rather than filtering everything through a myopic lens of self-centred "personal improvement" that just shatters everyone into atomic, singular units divorced from one another and totally alone. I like the idea presented here of a "body" of Christ. I still wouldn't call myself a believer because I don't think souls or god(s) exist but at least I can somewhat understand what's appealing about Orthodoxism. The main differences between Orthodox Christianity and Roman Catholicism. the main things which keep our religions separate are: Papal Supremacy, Papal Infallibility, The Filioque, Absolute Divine Simplicity, Created Grace Doctrine, natural theology, scholasticism, Original sin, sacred heart doctrine, Immaculate conception, Purgatory, Merits/Indulgences, evolution of Dogma, imaginative prayer, "beatific vision" etc Then the Forced Celibacy of Priests, The use of Unleavened Bread in the Eucharist, The Adoption and change of the Christian calendar, The use of Renaissance statues, Pews, Child Communion, improper non immersion baptism, Cardinals, and differences in liturgical practices (Alter tables, Iconostasis, priest positioning etc) all of those things, we say the Western Church adopted and innovated and became heretical when they adopted these things. And we say that in the early church NONE of these things existed, there is no evidence of these things. No examples of Papal Infallibility, No examples of merits/indulgences, and no examples of unleavened wafer bread, and such. In fact in the west, In Rome. It looked a lot similar to how we Orthodox exist today. Our priests can get married, we use Icons and not statues, we use the old calendar etc Orthodoxy Vs Roman Catholicism: Energy Essence Distinction vs Absolute Divine Simplicity Ancestral Sin vs Original Sin Non Filioque Trinity vs Filioque Trinity Patriarchy vs Papacy Revealed Theology vs Natural Theology Hesychasm Vs Scholasticism Theosis vs Sanctification Married Priest vs Celibate Priests Infant Communion Vs Non Infant Communion Iconography vs Statues Full Immersion Baptism vs Sprinkle Baptism One Baptism vs Confirmation Baptism Leavened Communion Bread vs Unleavened Communion bread Julian Calendar vs Pope Gregory's Calendar We are not the same Religion, we do not have the same faith, and anyone who looks into either religions genuinely will see how different we are.

Its only because you all openly worship idols. You declare this and that outside of scripture then pretend as if its truth. Mary is not a god, and praying to her is idolic worship. Its sad to me that having a personal relationship with Christ seems so impossible to all of you. I didnt have the luxury of a church so I sought Christ alone, and He changed me forever. What I don't understand is how you can put mary to a status of god when theres no scriptural anything to back this up. Im non denominational, but Christ is with me, and I speak to Him more than my lady some days. However to your church im a heretic and couldn't possibly love Christ as I do. Its a trip really, im here with only my Holy Bible and faith, while you have this great expanse of ritual and doctrine that is knowwhere in scripture. Maybe yall still burn people for daring to read the Holy Book themselves, oh wait that was Catholics I get you guys confused sometimes.

So prior to becoming an Orthodox Christian I was a Mormon for 30 years. In that fairytale of a religion they have an axiom that goes something like this: "As man now is, God once was. And as God now is, man may become." I never understood how perverted that teaching was until watching this. THIS episode is masterfully executed! I just had to become a subscriber as a result! 20:40

Harmony, thank you so much for these videos. I am a struggling orthodox catechumen. Trying to step into the life of the Church, and your videos help realign me as the temptation to be spiritually lazy is attacking me hard in this season.

an ex-atheist here: i can't fully consider myself a christian of any kind (raised as catholic), but there's a lot to learn, and it gives me drive to keep on learning. these kind of videos give me joy to watch and understand. So far, i think i may have found some resemblance of holiness and connection to the God in learning the teachings of the abrahamic religions. Someday, i will delve into Islam, so i'll be on a lookout for a Qu'ran.
