Moving plants is like moving furniture around, gotta change it up once in a while 😀 The plants will be so pretty. Thank you for sharing...

Hi Jenny! I just recently discovered your videos and love them! I decided to go back to the beginning videos and watch them progressively. I just finished watching your Jan. 18,2021 seed video and had lots of laughs. I thought you would like to know that we’re locally starting a Zinnias Anonymous group and would love to send you some info on how to break the addiction😂😂 just kidding! I love zinnias too and will not be ashamed of it😊Seriously, I’m glad I found you-keep the videos coming

Oh how fun I just planted zinnias from seed as well and couldn't be more in love! I have been binge watching Jenny’s channel as well. So much fun!!!

Any chance we could see an updated plan of attack for the front? It's so fun to see what you planned and how you have been able to populate it. You're so cute Jenny - I just love seeing what you're doing and your mind at work when there are obstacles you have to consider ... deer, juglone, the glads came up a different color 'oh no RED' and a myriad of other things that come your way : D Checking in with Harmony Hills Home & Garden has been a pleasure!

Thanks! I might do an update, good idea. Let' see how I can work that in....

I love that you include your placement thought process. Weeks ago, I bought a dwarf amsonia variety (Blue Ice?) and still haven't planted it. Knowing they prefer consistently moist conditions I may rethink where I was going to plant mine (my second placement thought).

Yeah, I spend too long figuring out where to plant things, too. I know I’m going to be digging them up and moving them, eventually. One day I’ll get it right. 🙏🏻

Where to put the new plants that I had to have. Love amsonia too but really identified with your challenge of where to fit them in. Reality

Good morning. I love, love the storm cloud and my garden is rather on the full side so may be next year where I know there is space I may plant a storm cloud. But who knows as I may have other ideas. Where you planted them in your garden on the north side, I know will look very beautiful. I see the difference in the dirt from the no dig area and where you did not do that. Anyways have a real good day and enjoy. Thank you for taking us along.

Thanks, yes, the soil is so much better where we did the no-dig! Thanks for watching. :-)

I planted "blue ice" amsonia from bare root in 2 places last fall. One grew ok for 1st year and did bloom small blue flowers. The other is just now starting to put on any growth. I didn't know about the possible fall color show, so I'll be waiting to see if this variety has fall color. I have found when I plant in the fall and everything isn't its "July" size, I way underestimate how much room I have. I have had to move a few things that ended up too close to other plants so I appreciate your consideration for size. I hope they fulfill your vision.

I do the same a lot of the time... some of my gardens are crammed! We all learn as we go, right? :-)

I planted one of these this year also. A much smaller version though. I can't wait for those blue flowers next year.

Hey Jenny, I planted 2 storm cloud also a month ago and a deer got ahold of one and ate on it. They ate all the blooms off my holly bushes this year as well so no holly berries this year for Xmas bouquets . Deer are my enemy!!!
@HarmonyHillsHomeandGarden2 жыл бұрын
Darned deer!!!! They better stay off my amsonia!

Amsonia get big and full. We bought a house with one in the backyard I didn't know the plant - I so totally thought it was a big shrub! Too big for up front. It's big and round and full. Needs it's own space!

Can you divide Storm Cloud amsonia?
@marylovejoy12 жыл бұрын
I wish I could grow amsonia, but I live on a fairly busy road in a semi-urban area, and I've read that amsonia is extremely sensitive to pollution :(
@HarmonyHillsHomeandGarden2 жыл бұрын
Maybe give it a try with one plant? You never know, it might work out!
