In this video I talk about ensuring that your body maintains a strong foundational posture throughout movements to prevent compromising the potential energy you could be harnessing into your strikes.

Now, the martial arts themselves are mind-blowing, but what's truly amazing is how you can train with the hood on and not have it fall off the head. That's not something you train, that's just raw, true talent lmao.

Holy mother of God are you fast. I already knew this before but havent seen one of your videos in months so….coming back to it after watching other average speed strikers- theres s big difference. I only punch at your speed when under adrenaline. I’ve been a couch potato most my life. Not sure if i can train up to ur speed or if I & most others will always be genetically inferior in speed

Great video (have only watched it now since I wasn't as active on KZbin a year ago and missed it when it came out! Your explanations are always touching on things I have never seen discussed on KZbin, love it man! My biggest issue is the stance, I put a lot of work into trying to feel what the best most stable stance is for my own center of gravity and stuff but in class (kickboxing) my instructor always tells me to stand more narrow which honestly annoys me so much bc yes I get that for conventional boxing technique the stance is supposed to be on the narrow side but if that completely throws of my personal sweet spot of balance, what's the point?? Honest question..
@grantstevensma
@grantstevensma Жыл бұрын
I'd get a new instructor if you're not happy with his methods. Also, the conventional boxing stance isn't that narrow honestly. Check out the 'Title' Boxing Instructional videos on KZbin. They're old, but the stance that Russ Anber teaches is quite long! It's better for not being in the opponents range

Completely agree grant about wasted energy affecting power and speed. Gonna really take time to work on this during my training to increase my speed , technique and power with my kicking and punching. Appreciate the perspective keep up the amazing work.

I was just watching another of your vids (playing catch-up), and you had a guy named Andre Victorian demonstrate a stretch. I figured I'd check him out to add him to my viewing list. Can't find him anywhere. Too young to retire. Can you tell me if he rebranded his business, name changed? Or anything else? Thanks.
