Harold La Borde sailor and adventurer

A true Trinidadian sailor, adventurer and explorer. Holder of the country’s highest award, Harold La Borde accompanied with his wife Kwailan and five year old son Pierre, circumnavigated the world in his 40-ft ketch (a two-masted sailboat) he named Hummingbird II. The La Bordes went on to another circumnavigation voyage via Cape Horn (1984-86) in the Humming Bird III. Vessels he made himself.
