Hi, Thanks for great video sharing! I've seen you was using Main Sail during the tough weather. What was the wind speed and course against the wind? Is it better to use Main vs Genoa only on Vegas?

I think it was force 7-8, gusting over 20m/s but about 15-17 m/s ish stable. It didn't last long thankfully so no huge waves. We used the third reef in the main + gale jib, but for that wind we should of had a fourth reef as we had to "dump" the main a lot in the gusts (let out the main sheet to relieve pressure). If you look closely at the back of the mainsail you can see that it sometimes vibrates violently; that is when it is "dumped" and it is not good for the sail for obvious reasons hahaha. This was up wind sailing so having the main up helped a lot to balance the boat.

Thanks! It's a windpilot pacific light and I am very happy with it. Very solid and powerful and best customer support of any company I have dealt with even though I bought a second hand unit.
