A very happy portable addition to my harp family. A special Thank You to Elvire Coudray & Joris Beets for personally taking the time to see my Harp-E (plug & play) was shipped out. I have such respect for their ongoing Labour of Love, creating harps for charity and students. Making them available from build your own, just string it to plug & play
Read their full story at www.harp-e.com/
added notes -
vibrations - snip all string knot pieces short so they dont touch anything.
battery - I used black electric tape to secure
stand and strap - I tied a cord around lower harp bolt to add the lower strap clip to use both strap and stand. I will change it to a piece of leather cord.
foot of stand - used a small piece of duck tape to tighten the groove.

This harp E looks so cool ! It’s interesting to see different instrument. Tuning seems quite complex tho 😂 thanks for sharing this plug and go harp Connie 😊

Once you have the harp adjusted regulated it’s no different than keep your regular harp tuned and it’s just a fitted Allen wrench

Hello Connie, thank you sharing your experience with Harp-e. I found a second hand Harp-e and spend some time tuning it. The strings are really very nice. It is perfect for practicing in silence (with or without a headset). I am combining it with an amp as well. Positive Grid Spark comes with an app and I am now finding out all options for sounds with the pedals in the app. Best regards from Mireille

It's always fun to get new instruments! Of course now you'll have to buy a bunch of weird effects peddles since you entered the electric world 🤣. Rock on! 👍

Lol. I would love to get a bunch of weird peddles but the small belt amp is perfect for my walks outside. Thank You

Thanks so much for this! I didn’t have a chance to ask Josh between his European travels and NZ tour just what the tone and loudness were without amp, since I couldn’t tell if any of his recordings were done without an amp. Your playing with and without were extremely helpful. Also, thanks for showing the “belt buckle” amp - looks perfect for my needs. FYI, enjoy taking your harp-e out as you walk on a shore or in shallow water. Yesterday I again got to take my little Blevinsong 20 out into the ocean at low tide, and take a long walk on the beach, softly playing. These little harps can be magical!

I wouldn’t make this my primary harp. I think it is good for young beginners or a travel harp. The tone is lovely. The unique lever design can be a little noisy but a very thin piece of felt would solve this. It is quiet without amp. As you saw I use a very unprofessional belt amp. Sound good to me and for out doors will be great. Thank You for listening.

Thank You. She finally stays in tune. A couple levers still need regulating but I’ll do all that when I start playing it outdoors

Nice video, Connie! I’m about to get a Harp-e, too. Probably going for the DIY version, I’m intrigued with assembling it myself, hope that goes well 😄 Are you still happy with your Harp-e? 🍀

Yes but I got it more for playing outside in the yard, still waiting for spring weather. Love the mini belt amp from Amazon too. Through the winter I play the bigger harp indoors

@@connieLo87365 Thank you, I’ll have a look at that amp. I understand, I plan to use it outside as well! Thanks for your answer ☺️
