Actually its not scratching, seals dont have nipples, the mothers leak it from the pours of their belly and the pulls lick the belly to drink it up. Its so cute 🥰

Also given the advent of global warming, harp seal pups have less and less time to prepare for going out on their own. If the ice stays too short, all the harp seals die for that year. If this continues, it's possible they'll go extinct quite quickly.
