“I still haven’t had that moment where I feel like I’ve made it,” says Natalie Portman, in the latest episode of our How I Got Here video series. “That’s what keeps me trying new things, because it doesn’t feel like a destination, it feels like a journey.”
Given that the actress has won an Oscar for her outstanding performance in Black Swan and also has a host of Golden Globes to her name, it would be hard for anyone to agree with this self-depreciating summary - and yet Portman’s quest for fresh, challenging roles has arguably made her the success she is today.

It’s so interesting how she described rejection as something that still hurts but you can’t be too thick-skinned ‘cause as actors they have to be sensitive to everything. I’ve always admired her as an actor and seeing her be so vulnerable and honest and still willing to be curious is so lovely. Her performance in May December is nothing short of incredible.

Natalie Hershlag was born on June 9, 1981, in Jerusalem, to Jewish parents with roots in Poland From 1999 to 2003, Portman attended Harvard University, graduating with a bachelor's degree in psychology. In 2006, Portman served as a guest lecturer at Columbia University for a course in terrorism and counterterrorism where she spoke about her film V for Vendetta At Harvard, Portman wrote a letter to The Harvard Crimson in response to an essay critical of Israeli actions toward Palestinians. She has nevertheless criticized the Israeli government, specifically Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Portman was critical of Netanyahu's re-election in 2015, saying she was "disappointed" and often found his comments racist. she is a great actor. I respect her. I think she is classy and gorgeous

no one wanted to create this project... yeah .. once again people do not want to touch projects like the perks of being a wallflower, the crowded room, and this. hollywood is filled with people who take advantage of kids and so making a movie, that exposes this in different ways, they don't want to give these projects money. i am so glad it was made! charles performance is one that will stay with me for a long time. it was a very powerful movie with something to say.
