Since it began the Oscars has provided hundreds of iconic red carpet moments. The nominees spend months planning their perfect gown, their accessories and their beauty looks in anticipation of millions of eyes watching them walk the red carpet before the ceremony.
Ahead of this weekend's 93rd Academy Awards, we've taken a look back at the best dressed of all time at the Oscars.
From Jennifer Aniston in Valentino in 2013 and Lupita Nyong'o in Versace in 2018, to Margot Robbie in Tom Ford in 2016 and Jennifer Lawrence in Dior in 2013, there have been some breathtakingly beautiful looks.

These things are always so subjective, but saying this is the best of all time is really stretching it, as it was heavily focused on dresses from the last 20-25 years. I KNOW there were great dresses outside of this timeline. Having said that, my favorites from this list were Emma Stone in Givenchy, Natalie Portman in Dior, and Freida Pinto in John Galliano.
