I was a telephone cable splicer in the Air Force. We were in Turkey and had to run a new cable through an underground conduit that was full of mud. We went to the fire department and got a hose and used it to blast out the mud. Took a while, but it worked. The folks in the chow hall didn't like it when we walked in though. For some reason they wouldn't let us in. Go figure? .

I have found that High pressure jetting and vacume truck to be more efficient and economical and less labour intensive than the Directional drill method.

@@Hectic142 Many processes use high pressure water these days. The process in the video doesn't seem especially quick. High pressure water would carry away the detritus as it works. I think a side by side comparison would be interesting.

I recall when the county lazed about in my area about cleaning drain pipes, a thunderstorm rolls in, and the bottom flat lands at the bottom of the hill, dead center was turned into a miniature creek as the storm drains couldnt cope due to partial restriction.
