What is perhaps more terrifying than this is the very real possibility of a tie if either the district in Nebraska goes red or maine goes blue. Or even more likely, if one of the state electors votes against the vote of their state and votes differently as which happened a few times in the Trump and Biden elections. I can only imagine the chaos if that were to happen.

It’s Nebraska, not Nevada. And that’s not going to happen
@jackbrons490421 күн бұрын
@@loganleroy8622 Whoops, yes that was a typo. And in 2016 there were 10 faithless electors so its definitely a very real possibility and with the margins this close they could hold a lot of power.
@loganleroy862221 күн бұрын
@ You misunderstand how those “faithless electors” work. Those are always done when their vote isn’t critical and somebody wants to make a political statement without any consequences. Also 2016 only had 7 faithless electors for president and 5 of those were electors that would have normally gone to Clinton.
@jackbrons490421 күн бұрын
@@loganleroy8622 What have I misunderstood exactly? Seems to me you are just agreeing that yes electors (in some cases) are not obligated from voting with their state and in a 269-271 election that sounds pretty critical, even if its 'uncommon'.
@loganleroy862221 күн бұрын
@ Your misunderstanding is that no elector is going to break from who their state asked them to vote for if it would actually have real consequences. Yes, electors can break from their state’s wishes, that is the original point of having the electoral college in place. However, that will not happen if it actually would change the electoral college result that the country expects.

The problem with this video is that it also doesn't take into account people who have already 62 million people have already voted, and those votes aren't going to change. So I did my own analyses comparing the makeup of early voters to voting history in every state, and, yes, Arizona's early voting does favor Trump. It also favors him in Nevada, Georgia and NC. But early voting has favored Kamala in Pennsylvania, Michigan and Iowa. With the best data available at the moment, I think Wisconsin will be the deciding state, not Pennsylvania. Both polling and early voting suggests that it will be a tossup. And one other thing to consider is the large number of independents in NC and Nevada that make both states a bit of an unknown on how they will go.
