generals* Kelly explicitly describes the comparison in a recent interview, Milley is quoted in Woodward's book, and Mattis allegedly agreed with Milley via email in that book.

in reference to the last story- what an impossibly sad person, getting jubilation from american airlines better enforcing their obtuse corporate policies. this is the defining feature of a neoliberal, watching as someone is embarassed by the school yard antics of a publicly traded megacorp and jumping giddily all the while

Yeah that last one is just weird. Like who cares about shafting the ones that can't afford this dumb rule? It's not even about plane seat location it's just a way to squeeze more money out of people.

I've never been a fanatic of anybody. I just don't get that world. I don't understand the whole Elon obsession and I certainly don't get the Trump insanity. In the my view, I can't understand how people are willingly putting blinders on and not seeing or hearing what they are saying or doing. I don't like feeding the egos of people who are so incredibly narcissistic. Maybe because I'm Canadian, and we like people who show some humility when they are successful. Humility and being down to earth. This is why our leader Justin is getting the knives from his own party. He became an egomaniac who bought into this very leftist identity politics that's so fashionable now. And now he's paying the price. But we won't go crazy and not hold the next leader to be accountable. If the conservative Pierre goes off into the conservative crazy land, we will ditch him too. Just be normal and respect the rules. Donald clearly doesn't respect democratic rules or the laws.
