Why can't they just cast someone from a Beatles tribute band? There's plenty of great ones who are MORE THAN CAPABLE of playing the role! For example, Javier Parisi, Adam Hastings, Ron McNeil, Steve Landes, Jim Irizarry. Besides they're musicians and can play the actual music instead of having an actor pretend to play the songs over a prerecorded track! COME ON HOLLYWOOD, YOU CAN DO BETTER THAN THIS!!!!!

It's more than just looking and sounding like the beatles, they need to be able to act like the beatles, which those guys you mentioned are pretty great at capturing the beatles when they're performing yes, but what about the beatles as just themselves? Do those tribute artists have any proper acting experience/talent? Michael Fassbender looks almost nothing like Steve Jobs and yet he did 100 times better than Ashton Kutcher(who does look almost exactly like Steve Jobs) did. There's a lot of factors going into play and I hope they make the right choice
