JP Mortenson I want to agree, but Oklahoma had the best offense in the country, playing the best defense. Oklahoma would have squashed Alabama with their comparatively small offense. Georgia's defense got tired against Alabama, just as Oklahoma's offense got tired against Georgia.

As a Sooner fan I was on the losing end on this. But yes, it was the greatest Rose Bowl ever. This game proved that Oklahoma isn't a joke and that they deserve to be there. It proved that Georgia was good enough to earn a shot at a national title. Great game all around between two great programs. I'm happy that they've scheduled a couple of games against each other in the future

Georgia is only a one dimensional team a run team obviously Bama defense was better than OUs but you’re kidding yourself if you think their winning a game against OU. This game was so great, it seemed like neither team was capable of losing. Lincoln Riley's conservative playcalling late in the 4th and OT is what ultimately tilted the game in Georgia's favor.

As a UGA fan it surpasses the 2012 SEC championship for me in almost every aspect including how high my blood pressure got. Was on the edge of my seat the entire game especially OT. Best team I've seen as a group and the most heart I've seen. Would have been easy to just stop after HT and being down 17, but they came out with more fire than I've seen all season. You could tell the seniors wanted it more than anything especially Chubb, Sony, and Roquan. One more to go boys hunker down.

Watching this game as an Oklahoma fan almost 6 years later, I can still watch this and feel both a sense of excitement and heartbreak knowing how this game ends. That first half was everything I could have asked for from the Sooners baker was PHENOMENAL and then they come out in the second half and it’s like where did we go? Lincoln’s play calling was extremely conservative almost like he was scared they were gonna lose a good thing here and they did, to this day a should’ve could’ve would’ve game for OU aswell as baker he really deserved to win this one. There have been a few memorable Rose Bowls...even though the 2017 Rose Bowl between Penn State & USC wasn't for a championship, it was one phenomenal, topsy turvy, game from start to finish. Have a friend that has lived in Pasadena for over 25 years and their house is in the residential area about 3 miles behind the Rose Bowl. To this day they say that the 2017 game was the loudest that their neighborhood has experienced.

I remember being in the hospital in Oregon on vacation during this game. I woke up in the hospital at abt 11pm and had my family around me and I was groggy as hell and the first thing I asked everybody around me was if the dawgs won the rose bowl and when they said yes, I’d never screamed louder in the hospital. Nurse ran into my room and was worried something was wrong, but no I was just beyond elated that the dawgs pulled it out !
