I think all three of these comments prior to mine never watched the video. I just wanted to say that as a young man coming into the Catholic Church, I am deeply grateful for the work you all do, and I found this video very insightful (though I think we all also ought to remain very charitable to Butker for some of the good things he did say).

No. He did not miss wide right. In fact, (if it were possible) he scored a touchdown. Unfortunately, it seems this has the attention of some in society when he did not say anything new. The Roman Catholic Church has been promoting this long before the Internet was established. If anything, the criticism of him is common place to relativism and subjectivism.
