Hiya Nathan, great little tutorial. We need a keyboard overlay for all the Mixbus shortcuts 😉

The basic keys are easy to remember. Its the modifiers that take a little practice.

thanks for this, i'm learning mixbus 32c to see if i can make this my go to for songwriting, because i just use it for mixing stems. i'm using studio one for now and it's very easy to get good mix in 32c.

Thanks for the overview! - if you have struggle to make punch range to work by comma/period + square bracket - make sure that edit point is playhead - not mouse. :) I mostly use 'mouse' but in this case it won't work (unless you select range with mouse :D)
@HarrisonAudio2 жыл бұрын
that is correct. Gotta set your edit point correctly.

@@HarrisonAudio iIts all for my local Church. I’m using Waves to record the multitracks and Mixbus 32 V8 to edit and clean up the tracks . What I was wondering is iif I can use Mixbu on a computer as a Daw to do a separate mis for the online church stream . I’m using the X-32 Console (USB output ) then pull the audio into Mixbus from their i pal. To use send the audio to Vmix .
@HarrisonAudio2 жыл бұрын
@@dwaynearthur1476 There are lots of churches using Mixbus for their livestream mix. You an arm all the tracks corresponding to the inputs of the X-32, set the buffer size fairly low and set all the tracks to monitor the input. Now set the output of the session to feed your Vmix and you will be all set.

Does mixbus have retrospective recording?
@HarrisonAudio Жыл бұрын
It does not. It will capture the pre roll length while using pre roll to give you a buffer before coming in on a certain measure. I would think a recording is very intentional and I wouldn't expect a DAW to just always be listening to what I am saying or playing though I do understand some DAWs have this feature and they deem is worthy of being somewhat cool and hip to have such a thing. :) -Nathan

Minor comment for listeners: "" is greater-than. Nathan uses the correct keys but reverses the names on the voiceover.
@HarrisonAudio2 жыл бұрын
Just making sure you guys are paying attention out there. I have recently learned those keys can be called "angled brackets" which I prefer.

@@HarrisonAudioI mean, like the floating bar, or maybe both, I was really used to use it 😁😅
@HarrisonAudio Жыл бұрын
you can float the transport in Mixbus as well.

You can do a stem export and check the box in the Export dialog window that adds the region to a new track.

How to mute headphones while Recording 🎙️in Mixbus 32C
@HarrisonAudio2 жыл бұрын
Do you mean mute speakers? If you are recording while wearing headphones you may want to have them play sound. What interface are you working with?
@Skygge.2 жыл бұрын
You have some options: You can mute tracks you don't want to hear. You can switch recorded track monitoring to "disk" to disable monitoring (if you use direct monitoring feature of your audio interface). You can turn down the volume of the headphones in the audio interface. You can take the headphones off your head ;)
