I'm a dermatologist in the US and I can tell you that nearly everything in that box has zero evidence behind it. So many of the companies falsely claim that their products improve lines/ wrinkles or improve collagen elasticity. The truth is this: the ONLY creams that can actually slow dermal thinning and therefore wrinkling are retin-A, tazorac (both Rx only) and to a much lesser effect, retinol though retinol is so low potency that it's effects are not really visible except under a microscope of a skin biopsy. So, don't waste your money on this stuff unless you just want expensive moisturizers. Same with hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a VERY large molecule that is too large to be absorbed through the skin so it doesn't improve anything unless it is injected as filler under the skin by your MD. Using HA moisturizers just sit on top of the skin and moisturize. They do not plump. So, if you want to combat aging skin, wear an SPF 50 broad spectrum sunblock everyday and get an RX for retin-A or tazorac for nighttime use.

Retin a is tretinoin right? Also there is no evidence on vit c (ascorbic acid, even though it is very unestable). I combine tretinoin qnd glycolic acid (not same day) at night, ascorbic morning with spf 50. Don’t do much more. Also what is your input on new molecules such as dmae? I read a couple of papers with promising evidence. Hope you see it and thanks for your advice.

Last year I got EviDens night mask, $250 value. If you’ve never used this try it! I’ve replaced it 3x since last year. FYI not a rinse off it’s a sleep mask I use every night.

One thing no one ever mentions about the hourglass mascara is that it’s a tubing mascara so just washes off with warm water into bits! No smudging and no need to rub eyes with remover… it’s brilliant!! Was torn between this and SpaceNk but happy I went for this one as I’m not bothered by hair care as much and I’d rather as much good skin care as possible lol

I swear by it tbh more so because of the way it’s removed so my eyes don’t feel irritated by rubbing make up remover as it just wipes off with water into like clumps rather then smudging but yes, once it’s on I don’t feel it smudges! 👌🏼 even when I get it on my top lid (as per usual) when putting it on I don’t ruin the rest of my make up because I let it dry and wipe with a cotton bud and it comes off without wiping across the lid- if I’m making any sense 😅

Amazing advent calendar. Great value. Lots of skin care. Which i prefer, almost no hair/body care products. I was so surprised. Although the ‘free gift’ items are expensive, it would have been better is they did a draw with more products in it.

Nice to see the retinol serum from Agustinus Bader. I’ve only seen the Rich Cream and the hyaluronic acid serum. I received so many hyaluronic acid serums in only 2 Advent calendars last year and to me they are useless, because hyaluronic acid is already in everything. I’m not going to use 3 different serums. I want one for AM one for PM max. And I want actual anti-aging actives.
