Harry and Meghan’s new docuseries will ‘backfire spectacularly’

The Daily Mirror’s Royal Editor Russell Myers says Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Netflix docuseries, to be released tomorrow, is “pretty bad timing” for the Royal Family.
“I think that everybody in the country and indeed the Commonwealth have largely got behind the new King,” Mr Myers told Sky News host Peta Credlin.
“So, I do think this will backfire spectacularly for Harry and Meghan.”

Having Skyped my kids and their families here in Kenya, in Canada, the UK, and Australia, the issue of this Netflix series arose this morning. The overall consensus is that to label the series as a docuseries is false advertising. To us, H&M are now akin to the stuff we insist our kids scrape off their shoes before walking it all over the garden path. Both stink, are the end product after all goodness has been used up, and have no residual value except to disgust the neighbours if it is left in the sun too long. 🤭🇨🇦🇰🇪🇦🇺🇬🇧

But if that happened - I still don't think the British public would want Harry back - so he would be left figuring out what to do with himself & where to go. He apparently spent most of his mother's inheritance money on their almost 20 million pound home in California - which would probably go to Meghan & the kids in any divorce settlement. He would have had a little bit of money left over from that, plus the small inheritance he got from the Queen mother's estate - but he probably would not be left with a lot of money to live on & would need to find himself a new place to live & work out another means of generating income for himself. I don't know how much of the money he would get from their latest docuseries & how much would go to Meghan. I suspect he would probably get most of the money from the book that he wrote - so at least that might be something.

As an American I can tell you that we don't care to hear The Harkles pity party. No one has empathy for them especially when they're milking their grievances all the way to the bank. We love The Prince and Princess of Wales and, everyone I know found it to be hella petty to put out this trailer when the Wales were here. It was perturbing how they are being attention and money hogs. I hope Charles strips The Sussexes and their heirs of their titles. It would be the right thing to do.

Greetings from across the pond, I totally agree with you about the King stripping their titles the big problem with that a lot of people don’t realise is that Harry was born a Prince and will always be one no matter what happens. Our late wonderful Queen know what she was doing when she made them Duke & Duchess because if they loose those titles they would be Prince Harry and Princess Megan just think what she would be like with the title Princess heaven forbid, it would also mean the kids would be Prince & Princess. I really don’t know what the protocol would be for that because the British monarchy must always stick to a certain protocol. The King definitely has a problem 🇬🇧
