Harry Chapin's Gravesite and Former Home on Long Island

For a number of years I have had request from Chapin fans around the globe asking to see Harry's grave, well I have included his gravesite and a few views of his former home at Lucast Lane, Huntington Long Island...... 'The Circle Remains Unbroken'

I can remember that summer day in 1981 when I heard that Harry had been killed in an automobile accident. I was 15 then and now I'm 56. My God, where have the years gone? Rest in peace, Harry and thanks for the music 🎶🎵🙏❤💙

It happened to me the same way! I was listening to the radio and they announced there was an accident on the LIE with a Volkswagen and an 18 wheeler and it was suspected to be Harry Chapin's car. I prayed harder than I had ever prayed in my life as a Catholic that it wasn't him. It was and I was devastated. My brother came home and rushed to me to tell me my Hero had died, but when he saw my face streaming with tears he realized I already knew. The grief was so real and I still feel it today 6/5/23. He had so much to give - so much caring, loving, understanding and heart. The loss of him was immensely impactful. Harry Chapin was an amazing human being who cared tremendously for other people. He began working to feed the needy and was successful with that. I give to the homeless and needy because of Harry. He is my humanitarian hero. I love him as a human and person and I ALWAYS will.

Thank you so much, that was an emotional trip for us, not even knowing where to find the cemetery and then it being empty, no one to ask, but this guy came out of nowhere and talked with us for an hour, it was his brother and I am so glad I went. I didn't know where he lived, they said his widow had a shop further up the road but we were out of time and I don't even know what kind of shop it was.

I think that the reason god took harry is he just needed one of the best R.I.P.harry you may be gone but are not forgotten.
