My dad (Oho (Owl) AKA Ho hoose ) always sang this song when I was a kid. I didn't realize until my dad passed a few years ago that he and Harry were buds back in the day. This song reminds me of him every time I hear it. Great song!

Reminds me of my uncle who pulled out his frozen bannock the other day on the trap line. He started singing the lyrics “with my frozen bannock sandwiches, my kookum made for me”. It’s been stuck inside of head so I had to find this song lol

This can be played in any chord, depending on your voice and how your guitar is tuned. Tune the top string, “E”, ‘open’ to the music at the start of the song and then tune your guitar normally, and you then can play the song in the chord of “E”. Or you can use a “Capo” to find the key, if your guitar is tuned differently and don’t want to change it.
