Just saw harry live . An entire 1.5 hr set 100% freestyled every show on tour. Nobody in the history of hip hop has done that. hes insane

In addition to the show just being immaculate from start to finish, it was also so heartfelt and motivating. He invited 3 random people on stage, had them tell stories about who inspired them and proceeded to do a KILLER song about them with an addictive hook for the chorus. It was one of the most amazing things ive ever seen a human do. dude is goated. And as others said, he's not taking notes, as live he was just as / if not more impressive than omegle with zero notes

He's not taking notes. He's looking at the other screen that the beat is playing on to check how much time he has left before it's over. If you paid attention, the beat cuts out at 10:32 and he looks over and his next bar is "Beat got paused 'cause my comp. had an alert". At the end of nearly every freestyle he peeks at that screen before he pauses the beat to finish. He also forgets one of the words every now and again and when he does, he just asks the people he's freestyling for to remind him (while still freestyling). Funny enough, this happens in the third freestyle in this episode. Unfortunately, y'all have a 15 min cap on video length for some reason?

Yep that’s definitely right. I can understand why they thought that tho because a lil after he peaked he almost immediately went to the Africa scheme BUT that was because time on the beat was running out not because he’s looking haha Watching so many of his freestyles we know he asks about the words when he forgets lol and if you see him freestyling on the street he can’t peak so that wouldn’t even be able to apply when he does it in person.

Was just about to comment this. He obviously does NOT take notes considering his guerilla bars and the fact he sometimes forgets words. That little glance was him mentally freaking out for a split second and fixing his beat that cut out. Idk how they didn't catch that, it's so obvious. He literally references it a line later.

Are the flow and cadence switches also mentioned in those notes, together with the guests actions, reactions, clothes AND conversations pre-freestyle, PLUS the beat pause with the computer alert 😂😂😂😂 ? I knew HM was an Alien before, but now he can write down all these notes at a light speed without anybody seeing it, read them without anybody noticing, add 15 flow and cadence switches, control the beat and comment on his guest's actions, clothes and reactions ALL at once ? Damn ! So Harry's really an Alien 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔. I have way more questions about what's in these people's heads.

Right. I've watched every video he's made, multiple times. You will see him glance to the side towards the end of songs as he needs to know when the beat is coming to an end to know if he can put in a 8 bar scheme, 16, etc

He does NOT use notes. At 10:32 his beat cuts out and the little glance at the "aqua green" line is him fixing it. He references it a line later, "...my comp had an alert." In lots of videos he forgets words, and his guerilla bars series is him doing this in public for strangers. He's also on tour right now doing this live every night. He clearly doesn't ever use notes.

It's nice that you guys watch the entire Harry Mack video, instead of just skipping. It can be kinda tough to give reactions when you're reacting to other KZbinrs. Their styles don't always blend together very well, so it's nice to see that you guys give him a fair chance. Harry Mack, in particular, really likes to set up the "hype" clips at the beginning of his videos, so that you're not quite sure if he'll pull it off; but then he does. In terms of reactions, though, I can definitely see how this sort of style might be a challenge. To give him that much play-time in your own video is nice to see. Harry Mack is absolutely The Truth, though. Even if you don't bother doing video-reactions, you absolutely must check him out. He has hundreds (thousands?) of hours of videos, and almost all of them are incredible. If you were to put his songs into an album, he might actually be the most-recorded artist out there. If I absolutely had to recommend a single Harry Mack song, it would probably be "Move Your Body," with Marc Rebillet (the full 8+ minute version). Not only were all the lyrics freestyled; but the beat, itself, is also entirely freestyled. Every single sound you hear in the entire song was made up 100% on the spot: Every instrument, every chorus, every lyric, every dance move, everything ever. The whole got dayum thing was freestyled. If that song doesn't scream, "TALENT!" then I don't know what does. Mind you, I wouldn't say the song is perfect: It could use some work (Especially Marc's rapping parts). But in terms of freestyles, it damn may well be the greatest freestyle ever created. It's an absolute must-listen, whether you like rap music or not. I can think of one other band, though, that worthy of an instant-listen; and that band, of course, is Scar Symmetry. The song "Holographic Universe" is so incredibly adequate for your style that you probably won't play any other bands afterward. It's just that good. And, obviously, none of my posts would be complete without mentioning "Doomsday" by DZK. Even if you've never heard a song in your entire life, you will definitely like this hip-hop song. It has the greatest lyricism (in terms of rhyme-scheme) of all time, and I will literally pay somebody to prove me wrong.

Unsure how to link parts of videos but the whole omegal bars 18 is pure him at his finest esp the last guy he freestyles for, he literally changes the dudes life right in front of your eyes and that’s why I love this guy man, the freestyles are good and all but being able to connect with people the way he does and in many cases bring total strangers closer together can’t not bring joy into your life, dudes a literal saint in my eyes rapping is just how he express’s it. I like y'all reactions. Y'all hit on a point that I see others kind of gloss over which is my favorite part. He frequently sets up a whole scheme on whatever word he is given. Most freestylers, will hit the word, will do a bar, or maybe two on subject, but they aren't touching that word again. He'll stay on topic, sometimes hit that same word 3 or 4 times or find related subject manner and go on for several bars. The speed, the flow, the memory are all great; but what does it for me is the bonus content on whatever word he is given.

I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure him looking at his second monitor is where the instrumental is not notes he's looking to see how much longer he's got so he can stop the beat so another one doesn't play
