What fantastic memories I have of this album// newly married with 2 beautiful kids, great friends and living on the northern beaches of Sydney listening to music my Dad had played for years but I never appreciated. Harry changed all that. Have to save this was a game changer and long may it live in our music collections.

I wonder who's kissing her now...Harry Nilsson sings it better than any other Artist,my dad used to sing this beautiful song to my mum....and he was killed at the age of 52....How the heck she made it to 74 i'll never know, without him,im the youngest of six kids he left behind....I feel cheated...and there's not a day goes by,that i dont think of him...and mum :((

whoever assigned Gordon Jenkins to Harry was a genius. Long associated with Sinatra, this was a combination just as magical in its own way......

Before he unfortunately blew out his voice, Mr. Nilsson was one of pop's greatest singers.

I love Harry and truly believe he could have gone down in history as one of the greatest artists ever had he not made so many bad career moves and artistic decisions. His fear of playing in front of live audiences crippled his career as much as his bad habits. Everyone wants to enjoy life to the fullest but when your blessed with all the gifts that Nilsson had, and had the platform to be heard as he did, you have a duty to dedicate yourself more seriously to your craft than he did. Its a shame

KZbin is too short a forum for me to explain what I meant. I DO love Harry and remember being absolutely dumbfounded by his vocal abilities when I first heard The Point. Nobody will EVER sing like Harry did. Even HARRY didn't sing like Harry towards the end. And sadly the truth of the matter is - booze and smoking are very likely culprits when it comes to vocular degeneration which Harry battled with. Now whether or not he was "meant to be" that - that's one of those "fate" topics nobody wins.

Maybe Jeff Lynne, he does a beautiful rendition of Stormy Weather, and some other real oldies, on one of his solo albums. I love Harry, he just went down so many roads, and was great at all of them. Even his songs in the Popeye movie were great. A bit strange, but that was Harry.

To those of you interested in Harry's damage to his vocal chords, it is covered in the documentary "Who is Harry Nilsson". Not liquor, the beach yell, smoking or training. A teaser - It had to do with John Lennon. If you are a fan, you NEED to see the movie!

@Sshelly34213 I respectively disagree... but there's one thing I do know for sure... and that's that there'll never be a voice as beautiful and trancending as Harry's was. I miss Harry. In fact, I think I'm going to enjoy a nice shot of Chamborg right now and listen to a little Schmillson in the Night.... here's to you Harry, wherever you are...

This guy reminds me so much of Roy Orbison. Barely moves and this impossible voice comes out. You got to be born with that sh*t, that's something you can't teach. It comes as natural to them as walking and talking.

I hope you're joking. He was exactly as he was meant to be, if he wasn't what he was he wouldnt have been what he ended up being. Without his flaws he wouldn't have been himself.

Oh Harry.... 3:58 You got cigarette smoke wafting up into your face as you sing.... if I had a voice like that I'd stay clear from the ciggies... AND the booze.... I LOVE Harry but sadly we all know how it went not too long after this. Harry's singing career was one of those ironic juxtopositions of sheer beauty and stubborn self destruction. Eventually the latter won.

Harry was very fucked up here. Don't judge him on this. He was only being human. Maybe he was drunk on his talent?
