Thank you. Must have been a heartbreaking labour of love. I'm 66 years old and music has kept me sane. I have always loved the honest fractured voice telling a story. I have Harry on original vinyl, bought on release! MOJO magazine's April 2008's feature on this genius ends with his words 'i'd rather be dead, than wet my bed, you know!' Sums up the heroic philosophy of a lost soul. Thanks again - this is a wonderful thing you have done.

So very fine, "You must remember this, a kiss is just a kiss, a sigh is still a sigh, as time goes by" love that song. Thank you for this, love Nilsson, finally got around to buying his best of CD and am so impressed with it.

I never realized the songs had a special order....falling in love, in love, marriage, infidelity, break up, regret, age! Harry took this LP seriously! This is NOT the actual recording sessions but a BBC special recreation to promote it...Just Wonderful Harry!!

I've loved this album (and many other Harry Nilsson albums) but this one is timeless. Thank you for posting this. It is so wonderful to see him singing these songs. What a talent.

There are few words to describe the angelic highs this man could reach.

For a while after discovering Nilsson, I couldn't pick up an instrument or sing a song without negatively comparing myself to his awesome talent. Now I strive to tap into the man's genius in all music I make. I simply ask, WWHD? Thanks for posting. And Harry, thanks for existing.

Didn't know this even existed! Thanks so much for posting them. Have been a fan since High School. Have introduced my wife to his music, and now she's a fan as well. What a voice.

i'm a 'Johnny Come Lately' in regards to this great talent. I have the recent documentary to thank for awakening me to these great songs. I grew up loving his music from Robert Altman's "Popeye" unaware that it was his. We rarely make artists of his caliber anymore. He was a pure, born talent. i'ma go put a lime in a coconut now.

I have always said, since it's release in '73, that this was the most amazing album of all time. You were so blessed to be so close to it all. And it is so gratifying to see Harry at his best. VOTE SCHMOTE!!!

Seems like most videos on KZbin now end up with "5-star" ratings, but this series of Harry truly deserves that and MUCH more. Like many others, I didn't even know this video existed and like others, this is one of my all-time favorite albums. Beautiful. Thank you so much.

I agree. These songs are excellent for calming me down at the end of the day. I don't have the CD, so I can't compare to the liner notes, but I assume that's where you got the quote. Thanks for the comment!

Yes, I'd heard that! Harry Nilsson was supposedly John Lennon's favorite American singer. I can't blame him! He was wonderful. There are a lot of videos showing Nilsson having fun with the Beatles.

"Somewhere Over the Rainbow" wasn't on the album as a whole song, BUT Gordon Jenkins had it mixed in between the sons. They were a wonderful pairing.
