My fan theory for why harry became a giant hulking monster is cause the symbiote reflects your mental state when you bond. Harry at first wanted to be a superhero like his best friend and was super happy, so it formed a military-esque costume that suited Harry's taste. Then when he got it back, he was angry, hurt, desperate, saddened and felt betrayed. Harry decided to embrace his inner monster, so the symbiote made him one

I've had this theory for some time, that the symbiote doesn't necessarily make you evil, but just "enhances" or makes your emotions more volatile. Like, Peter deep down, was probably fighting with a lot of negative emotions due to his spider life conflicting with his personal life, all of that. However, he was able to fight all those negative things due to his good-willed nature, but the symbiote ticked his emotions off the brink and they exploded. But with Harry I believe that he didn't have any underlying problems at the start, and was basically happy at the start, not having many negative feelings.@@DroppinJaws

This scene also pissed me off a bit the first time I saw it but I found an explanation for it while coping. The symbiote pretended to be trapped so that Peter would lead it to Oscorp and to Harry. Harry cracking the glass didn't really do much, the Symbiote just decided that it was the perfect moment to pop out and grab itself onto Harry. Peter got knocked out since the Symbiote blocks his Spider sense.

It’s funny how Harry is voiced by the guy who once played Ben 10 from the Race Against Time movie, who’s now playing Prince Eric these days. Seeing his transformation into Venom, is like how Ghostfreak try to take over Ben once. This game did an excellent job at portraying Harry's downfall from being Peter's best friend to becoming Venom and then redeeming himself by saving the city later on. However, some things will never be superior to the original. The truth is, the true Venom will always be Eddie Brock and Harry Osborn will always be the second Green Goblin! Who could forget the brilliant Ultimate version of Venom? Eddie Brock is without a doubt, the most complex and compelling Venom host that has ever been written. The symbiote learned vengeance, forgiveness, compassion, and justice from Brock. They are the perfect symbol of two halves forming a whole.

Its interesting how you can see subtle forms of jealousy when peter takes the suit. At first Harry makes comments like "huh...never did that for me" to "yeah, its pretty amazing huh?" You can tell the moment Harry lost the symbiote, he lost a bit of what made him feel like Peter and him were equal, not only is Peter already Spiderman but now he has an alien attached meant to keep you alive. Its no wonder Harry started to become desperate ontop of his failing physical health.

Can someone explain this to me. Peter and Harry have a very similar physique, both slim and similar height. When Peter bonds with the symbiote, his physique does not seem to change. However, when Harry bonds with the symbiote he is huge and jacked. Same thing in the third Sam Raimi Spiderman movie where Eddie was smaller than Peter but becomes a jacked Venom. Eddie in the comics is a big dude compared to Peter which I thought is why Venom is big.

I think the symbiote will tap into the host's subconscious in order to create whatever is their mental representation of power. Since Peter is already Spider-man, Venom just taps into that persona and amplifies it. Since Harry was never a superhero before, the symbiote has to create a persona from scratch and comes up with something more obvious as a result - a big hulking guy.

It might have been avoided A Symbiote can create offshoot fragments of itself to bond with others, while remaining in the main host body. Carnage in comics was mostly seen using it as he once infected a town with Carnage symbiotes as well as causing a worldwide catastrophe in King in Black arc And Norman Osborn as Red Goblin used an offshoot to turn his grandson Normie into Goblin Childe So in theory Venom can create an offshoot which Harry and Spider-Man can both have Black Suits Although to be fair Venom seems to have no knowledge of that, and truly chosen to Leave Harry for Peter, being drawn to him as their main host

Honestly, I'm one of those people who kinda prefers Harry Osborn as Venom over Eddie Brock. Because Eddie Brock was just some dude who made a mistake and got it up the ass for it all because Spider-Man did his duty, thus resulting in Eddie protecting years worth of trauma onto Spider-Man. And the only reason the Symbiote bonded to Eddie was because they both hated Spider-Man. I mean, sure. There's a bit more context to the story than that, but still. But Harry? He's Peter's best friend who was dying, given the Symbiote as a treatment, wanted to reconnect with his friends, finds out Pete is Spider-Man and instead of getting mad for keeping that from him, he actually wants to help and the Symbiote gives him his chance with the Agent Venom suit. He was practically on top of the world at that point. But of course, Pete gets mortally wounded, the Symbiote binds to him to save his life, leaving Harry with his illness in relapse. And from Harry's perspective, Peter is just being a selfish jerk who decided his needs were more important and wants the Symbiote for himself and is just going to leave his friend to die. And it makes sense Harry would think that because- -Harry was never under the Symbiote's influence when it first attached to him. -With the fear of dying and the painful knowledge of his friend becoming a dick, Harry would start thinking irrationally. So, when Harry eventually gets the Symbiote back, his desperation, anxiety, hatred, and fear of death became like poison (or "venom") in his mind and all that put together with a Symbiote that's taken on Peter's insecurities and developed a hatred towards him for rejecting it is what creates Venom. In other words, Harry being Venom gives Peter more of a personal stake in the story. Or, at least, in *this* story.

i honestly pissed to peter, i mean he trying to explain to harry to rid the symbiote for the goods. I mean bro, he is dying and tomorrow that probaly tomorrow he will be death if he not wears it. his first bonding with symbiote is really ok.
