Black and white buttons (or at least one of them ) do serve a function, you can change the camera perspective from third person to bird eye view in almost all rooms in the game, it's pretty cool when you need to do a puzzle that involves working with all 3 characters or have to do a stealth segment.

I remember playing this on my pc when I was a kid , it was one of the first games that I ever played and I was proud for completing each level but I could never complete the game , I was stuck at the dementors (I hope I spelled it right) teaching stage, I could never figure out how to you the spell !!!

William Long there is! But it’s mostly more outside the shrieking shack. You need fairy wings for the girding potion and you get them by going through the secret passion of the humpback witch on the 3rd floor. You fight malfoy and his gang, then get the fairy wings and then you gotta use expecto patronum against dementors while ron and hermione break down a gate after that a cutscene plays and you’re back in hogwarts

@@michaelpluto2288 It would absolutely have made more sense if players, upon completing the Carpe Retractum challenge, were to travel to Hogsmeade the same day and Harry has to stealthily reach the destination given the Dursleys never signed his form (and McGonagall wouldn't want Harry wandering off only to have Black kill him). The attract video is half-true since in-game Harry and friends reach the Shack at night instead of daytime, which would've mandated a "solo Harry" stealth section and a possibility of losing House points if caught.

The first 3 were my favorite games, as soon as I saw Daniel Radcliffe on the box art I got scared and rightfully so, the other games just suck, no fun platforming and spell casting. Order of the phoenix has some good points, like the fact that Hogwards has been build exactly as in the films so you can explore it in detail. But I HATE how the spell casting works, how the game tries to look realistic and uses the actors as reference and I hate how you just can't wear robes.. I miss the robes! xD but yeah it sucks

I love this game a lot,and thankfully I still have it on ps2! I love being able to play as Hermione most since she's my favorite. Funny you should mention fighting Lupin though cause you do in the gba version of this game. You also fight the whomping willow to get to the hidden passage that leads to the shrinking shack.

lol good review but full of spoilers for those who haven't played the game. i had the game on my ps2, until i sold them both and moved on, but i still miss it a lot. the console versions of the game are far better than the PC one (surprisingly) and i wish i could play it again, just for the nostalgia that's coming out of it. thanks for the vid

The PC version had so many bugs. I remember it crashing on me over and over right before the final fight with the dementors. I enjoyed playing the gamecube version with some friends when I was a kid.

The best HP game to date! Well the first 3 is what most fans see as the best. EA really messed up the 4th and the 5th and 6th do the best Hogwarts exploration ever but there's nothing to do. And we don't speak of the Deathly Hallows.....

I'd argue on the contrary, the 5th and 6th sacrificed exploration, platforming and atmosphere for realism. It's awesome and all to go through a movie-faithful Hogwarts, but there's no secret rooms or challenges.

I loved this game a lot. Disappointing part is that there wasn't Hogsmeade of Divination. But I loved exploring the castle. This was my favourite game. This game has flaws. The sound effects are very loud and plot was a problem. I wish that we were exploring movie Hogwarts. Thats the part I loved about later games. Wizard cards were awesome. But still someone had put a lot of work into this game. Clearly someone cared.
