HARRY POTTER LOCATION: Dobby's Grave 📍 Freshwater West Beach

Recently, I decided to go on an adventure to Freshwater West beach in Pembrokeshire with friends. This is the original filming location for Shell Cottage and where Dobby is buried, featured in the Deathly Hallows. Dobby’s Grave is kept alive by fans all around the world, as so many people travel to visit this special spot. I raised my wand for Dobby, I laid down my own stone for him (as did Katie and Cameraman Chris). I also cleaned the main headstone with a very old wet wipe I had in my bag… 😅 as a bird had pooped on it; and I wanted to make it nice to future visitors. (Also thank you to the people who left surprise messages on stones for me to find, you made me cry as you can see lmao!) ❤

Cherry, this was such a beautiful video. Non-Harry Potter fans would not understand and find it weird to be emotional at a fictional character's grave. But, it is not so much about grief for the character, as it is about the sense of community and friendship in the HP fan community.

We found your Pebbles! Cherry Wallis we absolutely love all of your videos and we love Harry Potter!! We found your "take me home" pebble and the cameraman the Chris pebble! you left at Dobby's Grave. We live near Freshwater West. We saw your video you uploaded yesterday and decided to go to see if we could find them first thing this morning!. We have never been to Dobby's grave before as we couldn't find it! We thought that it was more in the dunes. There are thousands of pebbles and socks there! Its a magical place! First I found Cameraman Chris pebble and then I found your pebble saying," you found it! Take me home with you love you." We also found 2 pairs of socks, the Griffinboar and Hufflepug ones - they are wicked!! My sister has one pair and I have the other -they are quite soggy! Thank you so much! I am so happy! We love watching your videos! I can't believe we found them 10 days after you were there! We couldn't spot your painted pebble but found the one someone had painted for you welcoming you to Wales! It was really rough and stormy today and we got soaking wet! But it was worth it!! I live right near a historic town called Lavenham, which was used a lot when filming scenes in Gordrics Hollow, one of the houses was also the building used for Harry's parents house. It's very cool to see, and lots of people stop to take pictures 😊

For me this is the true magic about Harry Potter that so many people don't understand and think it's only for children. This is pure love from the community, there's no other way to say it. One Spring over a decade ago now, I visited the Wild Welsh Zoo in Pembrokeshire, which at the time was owned by Anna Ryder Richardson. We saw her driving her zebra print mini-cooper and I stopped to tell her how I loved her car. She shared she had just seen Shell cottage while walking at the beach with her kids. They'd taken the camera crew there who were filming for her tv show about the zoo. As a Harry Potter fan I was so excited so we went to check it out. There was nobody there, no security, just a low metal fence. The cottage was completely empty inside, literally a shell! The shells covering the build were mainly Scallop shells, and there were a lot of them. So much has changed since, the cottage has long gone, and Anna is no longer at the zoo which also has a name change. Amazing how quickly things change, it was a magical day!♥

This was such a beautiful video! You can just sense how special this place is even through a computer screen. You can just tell how much love fills that area. As a bloke, who happens to be a rocker, replete with tats n piercings I recall going to see the deathly hallows part one in Doncaster and the place was packed and when Dobby passed away everyone was crying at that point in the film.
